@not_Queen @Peanits @PatriciaThis has really gotten out of hand. I know yall are waiting until dedicated servers to crack down a little harder, but I literally can't get a game without a DC. 12 games in a row, all with DC's on their first down before I can even hook them. Maybe instead of strictor ban penalties you just add a game joining penalty similar to other games, ie if you DC you get a 10-15min wait before you can que again. The penalties aren't high enough so it's being abused heavily.

Note that I am not talking about the DC's going into the game because of the infinite loading screen bug. These are intentional DC's as soon as they get caught.

This is like some rank 20 foaming at the mouth thoughts. All if this is inaccurate. If you play the game more you will see this.

    I DC'd on a moonwalker legion.

Should I had a penalty for this ?

I think not cuz that's complete bs. if they fixed moonwalking people wouldn't dc because of moonwalking. same goes for all the other reasons people dc.

The worst game ever Last night. All four dc before I couldnt do about anything. The bad news is that you loose all parts and stuff when People commit dc. That grinds my gear... A lot.. Basically you loose evertthing you are carrying.. That sucks.. Do something about it..

I've been disconnected just running from the killer, while a friend was in the match. He says it looks like I plug pulled, but he was able to stay in the match and finish it.

This patch has been incredibly bad with this, so we can't even tell which ones are intentional anymore.

Not running, this was literally right after they were down and I started to carry them or pick them up. Those two scenarios look very different.

@Tylerz while I don't approve of DC-ing, in this case, I understand why people keep saying moonwalking or otherwise exploiting the flaws of the chase algorithm is a ######### tactic and borderline cheating. It's a hard thing too: I assume it's next to impossible to find a perfect definition for the conditions for chase starting/ending... can't really blame the devs for failing at that. Strictly speaking, when I spot a survivor miles away and go after him, especially if he notices me as well, should be considered a chase, but it doesn't count like that. Reversely, sometimes the games thinks I'm IN a chase when I can't even see that damn Claudette. Happens a lot in corn and on Yamaoka: chase music starts, I get the "Survivor Found" event, but I can't see them bloody bastards :P

The only way to deal with it would be if people actually had some spine and did not intentionally cut chase while staying hot on the trail of the deepwounded survivor. I do that when playing Legion, and some others do too, but then again, there are people who couldn't care less about fair play.

As fo you, @The_Crusader : there's little other choice than playing stealthy if you want to go to high ranks from low ranks as survivor. Don't be the first one hooked, don't risk too much for saves and so on. It's actually one of the most interesting aspect of the game: as survivor, you can be successful by playing very selfish, and by playing very altruistic too. Once you hit the high ranks, you'll have less to worry about potato mates... although it happens on every rank, so there's no sure way to avoid it other than SWF.

Survivors don’t lose anything anymore. You lose your pips but as soon as you restart your game, you’re back at that rank you were before you dc’d, that and the fact that you get red rank killers even if you’re purple, green or yellow rank yourself makes survivor dc more often imo. & if you report the people that dc, you could also report for suiciding on the hook, because it’s the same thing other than that the killer get’s the bbq stack..

@George_Soros Have you tried the new survivor?

Playing stealthy doesn't get you anywhere. If you want to pip you need to hammer those gens and you need to steal all the unhooks.

On top of this survivors are dropping like flies. You don't have time to waste hiding, you need to do the gens otherwise they don't get done.

It's a race to score as many points as possible before your team ends up wiped out. Plus a lot are just giving up on the hook now.

Entitydispleased I totally agree. I had three people (probably SWF) all DC after getting hooked and downed on the first hit, no more than 1 or 2 mins into the game. I was left to try to get two gens and hatch out. I did. And got the hatch. Probably could have all got out had they stayed to tough it out. Really frustrating.

I only get people disconnecting if I'm playing as the Dr. or they're not playing well.

Dc after being downed isn't a crash but can happen but I was running to get under BBQ range the other night to someone that had been downed. I ran into shack got halfway through it and fell through the floor and dc'd.

I depipped because the game thought i'd dc'd lost all my BP I'd earned as well as a pip because the game kicked me. The killer had an easy field day after that.

Playing solo survivor is frustrating right now with the ranking/matchmaking as it is. Also I don't see a difference in DCing and killing self on first hook other then one being against the rules. I mean I've DC'd intentional and also by connection errors/game crashed on me which been happening alot lately also if DC is so against the rules they shouldn't of give an us the option button to leave I know if they took that out and the only way to dc would be to close the game. I wouldn't do that because I hate rebooting the game over and over again.

"other then one being against the rules" That's all the reason that should be needed.

Also, even though matchmaking is messed up right now the least people could do is use it as a time to practice and improve from playing against someone better. Not mention you are screwing your teammates.

Im not. Why would I suffer through something I hate? Im red/green colorblind and my experience is just awful on these maps.

This is how i feel about every game as survivor. Sure some games can suck, sure some killers only care about making your games miserable ,but you gotta make do with that ya got, that's why we're called SURVIVORS not disconnectors.

Dang.... I thought it was JUST me.

I played 11 games (I counted in the weekend) And SEVEN out of the 11 games, SOMEONE DC. In those games, the games forced me to play better than ever to get the one or two other survivors to at least live.

One game, when I saw it was the plague, two people INSTANTLY DISCONNECTED. This forced me to work with the other sole Nea to save her, etc, and I had to stealth the Plague numerous times while trying to get gens, then trying to get the message to the killer that we wanted to farm, but chances of killers wanting to farm is way too low.

Another game, it was the new map and the Pig, and two people INSTANTLY DC AGAIN. This was the tenth game, hence I remember this one the most. I was getting really concerned with 7 out of 11 games with someone disconnecting, so this game, I had to go max Claudette with stealth. I used my premonition and teamed up with the other Bill to sneak gens, and I even impressed myself the many times I succeeded running from the Pig. Sadly though, on my second hook, the Bill left me to die (And I did almost everything!) but at least he got the hatch. I still got more points than him and got a rank point. A rare one too, since I died so many times too early.

One of the games where no one DC was a Doctor and the snow resort, and everyone (for once) actually was really nice and teamed up together to survive. They even waited for me at the gate to make sure I wasn't being chased, allowing me to get a Medkit for free. No one died too. The other game, I was lucky with a really good team, stealthed the Huntress numerous times and got both of her hexes of NOED and Lullaby. Sadly, we were waiting for a Jake, but he died on NOED and the Huntress semi-camped. When I got her NOED hex, Jake died. At least he was chill and understood. (And I was running and the hatch opened right under me. What luck!) Other game had 2 Jeffs and a Feng, Plague was really good though, so we all died. Feng died right at the hatch, made me cry inside XD 4th game, I was epic, got 3 3/4 gens done, followed and dodged the Pig in the farm a couple of times with Urban Evasion and Premonition, but sadly two really good survivors died (Feng and Adam), other Bill got gate opened.

So basically, any game with at least one other survivor not DC, they are decent human beings that actually will help the other survivor to not get a terrible game. Thanks to everyone who does not DC and for reading this.

If I'm killer and two people disconnect, I instantly move to farm mode, because it's no longer a challenge.

If I'm a survivor and one or two disconnect, I try to get the killer to farm. It doesn't always work out, and I get hooked 8/10 times, but I never DC. I'd rather take whatever BP I earn than disconnect. Each level has it's pros & cons against each killer. Learning to play them is a challenge which I enjoy.

I think all these people disconnecting are call of duty gamers who like easy games.

Wish more were like that. Honestly as killer I just kill them and end the game fast which is what I also prefer when I'm a survivor with DC's on my team. I can see people wanting the farm but as survivor and killer I'd rather just end it as soon as possible so we can all move on to an actual fun match.

Agreed. They are wanting to get more strict come dedicated servers but that just feels so far away with how absolutely insane the DC rates are right now. The devs need to put their foot down and punish much harder.
