I'm not really that excited to be honest. If BVHR's current track record of new killers (spirit being the only good one) is any indication of how this rework will turn out, then I'm not getting my hopes up. He'll probably end up being 'just ok'.

No, it's mostly coming from people who haven't mastered him yet. He's quite powerful in the right hands. I'm dreading a full on rework because of that, I don't want to relearn him.

No, it's just most people want him reworked so I'm just following the crowd. I like Freddy as he is but he just needs a few QoL buffs

But Bubba is good, he is really underrated. You just have to farm a hell lot to get a healthy stack of carb tuning + grease.
Enduring, Spirit fury, bbq, agitation.

(Whooops quoted the wrong guy, sorry, this is a response to when someone asked if Freddy really needed a rework.)
Honestly no, (mained him till he was literally fully maxed out at prestige 3.) but the big issue is his power doesn’t feel really that well thought out. For one, the winging it counter, where you just finish an action that is almost done when you’re falling asleep, is one of freddy’s biggest unfair weaknesses. Other killers can at least smack a greddy ######### for winging it when they’re right there. Yet, Freddy can’t do this, this weakness is only unique to him, and it undermines how the game is designed because being unable to do anything when the survivor is right there because you have to put them to sleep isn’t fair on the killer side cause any other killer can punish this. That’s something that if the devs made a killer with a power similar to Freddy now, they would of added something to prevent that. You’d think if they made the clown before freddy, that they would of had him throw his bottles at an arch so they could get over walls to help with chases? Well maybe, but the point is that something needs to be done about the winging it thing with Freddy. One idea I had was since you do see glimpses of Freddy during the Dream Transition, if you try to wing it like usual when you’re party in the dream transition, freddy should be allowed to grab you and force you into the dream world. That and having an action speed penalty when you’re falling asleep and to not have the auto aim go for awake survivors. Even so, I hope with the freddy rework, they add some stuff like this but also add more layers to his power to make it more interesting.
Sorry for the long post XD. I mained Freddy for so long I wanted to get it out there.

It's been over a year since they said it and Freddy will probably always be the worst killer unless they do a massive rework to him which I highly doubt they will do they will probably make his add ons better or give him a permanent power ability like they did with wraith

@Condorloco_26 Oh I know that but my problem is that I hate being addon dependent. I mean, if you have class photo with a range addon, Freddy is far from being a bad killer tbh. It still doesn't change the fact that his base power without addons sucks.
IMO devs should make those 2 addons that you mentioned baseline for bubba and rework the said addons so that leatherface won't have that 1 tap chainsaw with the addons. It is easy to buff him but I don't think that the devs are willing to do that.

It’s more so the ability to see Freddy in the dream transition, and the fact that it takes so long to enter said dream world that they can t-bag exit gate for 7 seconds while you stand there helplessly lol.
You can only play Freddy with a pre meditated mindset due to that lengthy transition.

And Hex Totems are even worse on him than all others, ya' gotta be there before they reach 50% cleansed or it's gone before they wake up without Nightmare using any Block Add-ons.
