What's with the gap in level matchmaking PS4?

I'm level 12 and last night I got 3 matches of out 5 that had the following:

  1. Other survivors levels 5, 5 & 6. Killer level 2.
  2. Other survivors levels 8, 8, 11. Killer level 2.
  3. Other survivors levels 5, 5, 9. Killer level 2.

How can I be matched with 3 different level 2 killers out of 5 matches? The wait to get in those matches wasn't even that long, a few minutes at most. Is this happening a lot to others? I hope it's not happening to low level beginners.

    By levels do you mean “rank”? Actually it’s somewhat common. I’ve played with people who were rank 15-20 while I was rank 10 or below.

    Matchmaking at the moment is pretty wonky, and it’s a lot more slower than it was before. So it could be that match making is just messing up again.

    Yeah sorry I should have said "rank." I've had gaps in rank before, but not to this extreme and for 60% of my matches.

    @Cassandra_Alexandra It’s fine, I understand what you mean! Yeah I play survivor often and I still see this problem. Lots of people have already addressed it, as of I as well.

    There’s really nothing that we as players, can do about it other than wait for devs to fix this issue as well.
