Remove the ability for the Killer to see the Survivors with items.
The amount of dodging is out of control - Dodge-A-Mania 2019.
What I've noticed is that if there is 2 or more Survivors with a toolbox, the Killer disconnects.
I don't even bring the primo sheet. Just a brown toolbox cuz I'm Prestige`ing Jane.
I get why INTIALLY Killers could see the items... so they could change their loadout / lightborn/Frank's/etc, but now they are abusing the game mechanics to force a Burger King Junior Whopper EZ mode.

Players are abusing the ability to see the Survivors items. They are cherry picking their matches for McDonawlz Happy Meal with the apple slices.

That's not an issue for me.
If you would stop the knee-jerk reaction, you'd read that I understood the INITIAL intent of seeing the items survivors had. If they all brought flashlights, you could load Lightborn / Frank's / Overwhelming Presentz.
Slow down them Killer Main fingers from pounding that keyboard and READ first.

You said they were doing this to lobby dodge. Ergo, the solution is to take away the ability to lobby dodge.

I would say seeing the items is fine but the characters and profile names no and put a lobby dodge queue penalty in. They could do it similar to how League does it if you dodge too much you get a wait timer penalty.
You'd also have to have a ping limiter option so if say 250 is your limit with 300 being the upper limit you don't accrrue a penalty.

I bring Franklins regardless tbh thanks to the rng on boxes I don't need to read stuff I bring Franklins and never lobby dodge plus I'm a 50/50 I don't side on either side but yeah anyone that dodges it's probably a ping issue most of the time ๐ especially there's a swf 4 man always one has 300 ping lol

I get that some killer may be using the dodge method to avoid items, but that's a huge take-away from the ones that don't. Swf coordination is a good advantage, top that with no visuals and your gonna see those same dodgers just dc or go afk to deny killer attributed points. The problem is the dodging not the visual.

I just bring Franklin's and lol my way through the game or if I'm feeling extra spicy I play Spirit, go Tinkerer, Bitter Murmur, M&A, and If I had it Discordance. but since I don't BBQ for the points or go Rancor for the mind games.

Trust me, BBQ is already a better choice than Discordance. Smart survivors won't be on the same gen until the end, so you get like one or two uses against good survivors with Discordance max.

This idea is absolutely ludicrous with the current state of items.
Killers can stop seeing items when items no longer have op add ons and are generally only useful to solos (aka no more toolbox stacking) and maybe have a 1 carry on item per survivor limit.
When survivors stop popping trap door required gens before the killer can get their bearings and make the rounds, maybe then we can talk.

I need to know whether to fetch Franklin's or light born. I only really fetch Franklin's when I see more than one flashlight or toolboxes because the gen rush is quick enough without toolboxes. Medikits I dont mind especially if you haven't got self care but keys I do have problems when I see keys.

Well, but toolboxes are in the game.
I mean, on my Main I probably have hundreds of Toolboxes of every Color, same for Medkits. And Dozens of Flashlights. And it is quite sad that I get lobbydodged when I use stuff I spent Bloodpoints on. It is not that I need some of those Items, maybe a Med Kit, because I dont run Self Care, but oh - it might be an Insta-Heal! Lets dodge this Lobby!
But on the other hand, the Killer that cherrypicked the Lobby with 4 Solos without Items, is using Insta-Downs on Huntress. Cool.

When I play with flashlight I usually pick Nea in brown rags just to swap to my flashlight character in last 6 seconds <3 You can use lightborn permanently if you wish.

@Aven_Fallen It's in the game, you are allowed to use it. My point is: When survivors bring several toolboxes or insta-heals, it's because they want to have an easier game. Claiming that the killer dodges because "he wants an easy game" is insincere.

I'd rather suffer a lobby dodge than a DC from 1 or more survivors during a match. Think they need to fix that issue first.

It's annoying but I absolutely understand when I get dodged when I'm in a lobby with several toolboxes. The game simply isn't balanced for these things.

How is it 'EZ Mode' seeing the items survivors are bringing? At most a killer's going to know what types of items you have, That's it. If you think Franklin's or Lightborn makes a game easy, I don't know what to tell you...

Make Franklin's Demise a base ability and change the perk so it only damages items instead, and we have ourselves a deal.

Make it so once all 5 players are in a lobby leaving counts as a disconnect. No other solution will be an equal compromise. Once dedicated servers are here ping will no longer be an excuse anyways.
The only thing in the lobby that should be hidden are names. Absolutely no reason for anyone to see names or steam profiles. Not even post game.

I never dodge lobbies. But if I see more than one toolbox or flashlight, I equip ,my megablink/3 blink Nurse with an map offering other than Coldwind or Lerys. You want an easy game? 2 can play that game.

I get dodged all the time when there's just 1 item in the lobby or even none and a lot of times it's the killer checking profiles. When I bring something into game it's to use it to get rid of it finally.
SInce usually a killer has Ruin anyways toolboxes get used pretty quickly even with good addons. I'll load into a lobby with an item equipped and if I see 1 or more unequip it and then 10 seconds still get dodged.
If I don't join with an item equipped then equip one I get dodged even if I'm the only one with one. So yes it is a cherry picked lobby situation most of the time and not it's not because they'res multiple items.
You've got Franklins, Lightborn, ShadowBorn, can pick your killer etc and yes you should be able to see the items but profiles shouldn't be viewable.

Dedicated servers don't magically make ping disappear. That's not how ping works.
