Fine how? His power is to hit you and knows where you are outside terror radius but it takes time to put people in the dream state and depending what add ons you’ either get hindered or slightly buff the power or both. If you tunnel hard with him then yeah I’m sure he is fine but I’m not the type to tunnel or camp, that’s lame. If survivors pop all gens and no one is dead yet it’s pretty much GG for freddy unless he has noed and remember me fully stacked. If not freddys completely weak

Can you submit gameplay, because you're always talking about how he's fine but a lot of people say otherwise.

This works to a point, but at some point you have to down and hook survivors. Extending the match doesn't do much if you're just walking around the map and repeatedly putting people to sleep. That's another easy Freddy trap to fall into. Freddy's biggest problem is that his success is largely tied to RNG.

Just because you 4k against survivors that don't know what they're doing doesn't mean he's good. He's complete trash the thing a survivor needs to do is loop you easiest braindead counter Freddy sucks.

Is uh no one gonna mention the transition time between awake and asleep completely destroys any chance of killing survivors during the end game...

    >Freddy's one positive benefit to his active ability is the delay: gen progress is slowed unless the survivor gets rid of it. How much marginal utility does it grant though for a very good player?

    >Freddy's power largely just makes up for skills that weaker players lack; not being good at tracking and maintain a chase, so it enables them to find the survivor again after losing them. A good player can of course choose to cast Dream Demon on someone but then deliberately not chase them (and without being injured they can't Self-Care their way out of it). It makes sense if you have survivors together.

    >But how much use is it if the killer knows what they're doing and the survivors know what they're doing? As a survivor I would know to stay away from the other survivors; if they're running and are asleep, good idea to assume Freddy is chasing them. I'd know to wake up anyone who goes for a gen and if I am being chased, to keep avoiding others so Freddy can't sleep them too. Apart from that, it's the usual survivor-meta of stall the killer until the gens are done. As a Freddy, once it's clear the survivors are competent then I can't depend on the stall because Freddy has no in-chase utility. Many killers that the kind of Freddy-main that believes he's strong usually list as inferior to him (Leatherface, Trapper) do.

    >Freddy is one of the killers where giving up on a stubborn chase is something you're more likely to have to do in order to be doing the stalling rather than getting stalled.

That is indeed THE most important thing to do as Freddy: Survivors must be asleep as often and as long as possible. If you're chasing a Survivor, but come across one mid-chase that isn't yet asleep, put them to sleep while still chasing the other one.
