Devs: Introducing, the brand new killer perk in this licensed chapter, focused chase: you are obsessed with one survivor, every time you hit your obsession gain a token up to 1/2/3 tokens. At one token reduce the chase music audio by 2. At 2 reduce the music audio by 3 and at 3 tokens completely turn off your chase music. All tokens are lost once you hit a survivor that's not your obsession

You are not supposed to be able to track survivors with your ears. I don't know why people call these sound changes "bugs".

Whispers and stridor would like to have a word.

As a brutal killers, there needs to be chase music sounding like 70s western movie.
Otherwise you dont feel strong, while you aren't.

This is the dumbest comment made by anyone with a Nea profile pic, and NeaJovovich still roams these forums.

Whispers have nothing to do with hearing. Stridor doesn't seem to do much if anything at all. And then we have the changes that devs make, announced or not. Lowering the volume of survivor noises, increasing the music volume and ramping up the occlusion. Good luck hearing anything at all in a couple of patches.

says who ? why have an iron will then? huh? they did this intentionally.. they dint have to do it.. the most hurt is spirit. you cant even hear injured survivor properly now there is a delay in soundlocation now.. So i adpated im running ebony mori everygame now till tehy fix it. i had a stock pile of 80+. i never used them and since im using a mori i threw in a dying light .. im getting DCs everygame after i mori the obsession..

Definitely turn the music down. Add maybe 4 - 6 more tracks to mix it up (hearing the same stuff over and over is annoying). The option to turn off chase music should exist too.

Wat. Are you a troll? Hearing is one of a killer's strongest skills. Unless you're confusing Spies with Whispers? Whispers is where you hear the entity's "voice" when a survivor is somewhere close, aka you need to hear that shiz.
Also I've seen killers use Stridor to find injured survivors fairly easily before so Idek what you're on about.
The sounds def needs to be adjusted tho I agree. Or add some individual things in the options and let us do it our selves to a degree.
After the latest patch I literally had to turn my game volume down though, it was louder than normal and it hurt my ears.

Strider: broken perk can make it difficult to locate a survivor at tiles cuz the sound is non progressive
Whispers: just shows me you have no clue, whispers is mainly used to know where survivors are NOT. Using whispers to find a survivor is only useful if it's the last survivor and an immersive baby.

I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE CHASE MUSIC

Survivor-side chase music isnt' any quieter, it's far louder than the hatch and any other important noise queue

@Mat_Sella Yes, it's a problem for both sides. There are so many players complaining about the chase music being too loud, I hope the devs recognize that this really is a problem.
