What if a xenomorph was added to dbd?

Just asking your guy's opinions on what abilities a xenomorph would have in dbd? Would he spit acid at survivors? Would he lunge at them? Everyone's opinion is welcome. This is a thread just for fun so no fighting please.

First, only if they get Sigourney Weaver to voice one of the most badass characters in all of fiction (Ripley) to use for the survivor. Other than that, I think running on walls and pouncing on survivors would be good enough.

Hmm, a Xenomorph killer? For the ability I can imagine a lunge or scuttle that allows for quick traversal of windows or pallets, perhaps even allowing it to scale levels i.e: say treatment room on Lerys or the balconys on Haddonfield.

As for perks, I'm not sure off the top of my head, but if I come up with something I'll make sure to share.

This game isn't suited for a xenomorph. It would be an even worse xenomorph implementation than AvP2.

Pig but with facehuggers instead of rbt.

    Otherwise theres multiple possible abilities.

-"Crawling over obstacles" / vaulting all/certain obstacles "clawprint-aura" for possible locations

    -Huge jumping ability (l4d hunter)

-small leaps followed by lunge attack (nurse' blink with locked range, collision still intact, leaping into objects performs a vault) lunge attack possible while climbing objects.

    Etc.

As much as I enjoy the Aliens franchise, I feel like a xenomorph isn't a good fit for DBD.

Lore would be an issue. Unless the xenomorph somehow views The Entity as a queen, I don't see it obeying the "rules of the fog" like other killers do. It would just kill the survivor straight away. Doing the whole hooking thing is so outside of it's normal behavior, and while these things are smart that are very animalistic in the way they act.

Gameplay would be weird to say the least. Like it might be cool to move around as the xenomorph, but it is so crazy powerful you might get the feeling like "why can't I do this, why can't I do that" and it breaks the immersion and ruins the experience. IIRC, some AVP game came out with a multiplayer component with players as marines, Predator and xenomorphs, so if the gameplay doesn't match that game it might not feel that great to play.

And my last issue is just that Alien is too sci-fi for DBD. DBD is more classic or supernatural horror and doesn't have any sci-fi elements. A xenomorph would just feel out of place to me.

    The game's a slasher simulator.

As cool as it would be, Alien is more... alien then a killer. It wouldn't really fit.

You could make it crawl on walls and stuff for it's power.

I stated "what if?", i know that alien does not fit in dbd, but i was just asking if he was in dbd what powers he'd have.

Xenomorph would be amazing. Watching this movie as a kid, the Alien use to freak me out. Xeno is truly a scary killer.

It's one killer that I've thought about a lot. Personally, I'd want a hybrid of Billy and the Pig. I'd like to see a high mobility/stealth killer. In the movies, Xeno was always quick and sneaky. That seems fitting for Xeno

xeno would be amazing! We also need Ripley and a Nostromo map!

Also I do think the Alien would comply with the Entity. Not only could it think it a Queen but when you watch the movies, the Alien will either a) kill or b) injure and use humans as a host. Dbd has already proven with Pig and Plague that maps can be specifically altered for each killer; instead of hooks, survivors can slowly be webbed up by the Entity.

I think it would be amazing, but at some point the devs said that climbing on walls and roofs would not only require a lot of new animations, but basically break the game in terms of chase, loops, mindgames, etc.

However, I think if added, its power would be either the climbing on walls for chase potential, or being able to use its tongue alien in some ######### up way.

I love the xenomorph but it really doesn't fit in DBD. This guy here would do better...and be a good villain to Ash Williams.

I think an Alien is too 'alien' for the game, no pun intended. I mean we get humans who are changed or corrupted, not outright monsters. An alien would be weird, and would it have a map? A sci-fi type area? That wouldn't really fit, right?

Now, Pumpkinhead on the other hand...

You could even get Lance Henrikson as a survivor, that would be cool.

My two dreams for this game are Pumpkinhead as a killer and Feng Min with that rabbit-ear hoodie we were shown a while back. The clip is in my profile but I don't know if it's official or just some concept from a fan.

If there was an alien chapter. I would buy everything it includes. I would play it a lot and would enjoy the new style of map which is likely a spaceship.

I feel that I'm not alone in thinking this. Anyone who disagrees is a cheapskate or a potato.

Would be stupid, I love xenomorphs but they just dont fit, just seeing the ultimate lifeform being stunned by a wooden pallet or looped around structures would be pretty dumb.

IF the Xenomorph was added there isn't enough perk slots to fulfill what I'd want out of it.

It'd have no heartbeat. It'd climb on walls/ceilings/trees.

It'd have claw, tail, and bite attack.

    It'd be insanely fast.

It wouldn't hook a single survivor.

With the origins Ridley Scott gave to Alien with Prometheus and Alien Covenant, I think that the New lore could work with the game. But I don't care about lore in online games I don't understand folks whose are focused on it, Alien Would be a really great character with interesting mechanics, stop being focused on the game lore.

The Xenomorph is that kind of killer that really scares you, and that is what we want in this game, not a skinny "killer" like Legion
