Rework of iridescent head hatches (Huntress ultra rare)
I'm not a fan of this addon, so I thought I will just publish my idea how I would change it and see if people agree, adjust or want to leave it as it is.
You start with 6 hatches. Once you hit someone with m2 the survivors goes into injured state and you are able to follow up (nearly) immediately a second m2 attack.
Why? First, from killers perspective it's quite annoying to be forced to use the belt addon with iri heads, one single hatchet is just to weak. And even 3 hatches are not enough and kinda forces you to play quite save (no room to try sexy shots, bit boring not to do long shots imo). Also, with that change you could hardcore snowball survivor groups within a few seconds (imagine this + belt addon. In theory you could down all 4 survivors in under 10 seconds)
From survivors perspective it's more fair, you still have a chance to dodge the second m2 hit instead of getting downed immediately.
Thoughts? It's a very very basic idea, obviously numbers can be adjusted.

I don't think it needs a rework. I think other ultra-rares need to be brought up to its level.

Nah just get rid of it.
Same goes for moris, insta heals and other crutch stuff that ruin the skill in this game.

That's not necessary, ultra rare could also just change the playstyle. Yes, it should make a killer stronger. But not overally strong or even op by simply making the numbers higher (multiple blinks, insta downs etc)
For me iri heads addon is a lazy designed addon and I thought my idea would create a new and interesting mechanic + make it more fun + more skill required to pull of + more fair for survivors to verse + still very strong.

I was on the Mclean's stream the other day and I believe it is getting reworked. He said that he wouldn't invest in iri heads.
The nurse addons are getting reworked too but I am pretty sure many people already know that at this point.
I am also pretty sure they are getting rid of billy's insta chainsaw, he said that he was using his charge addons while he 'could'
There is a legion rework
Leatherface's chainsaw is getting changed etc etc.

When did he said it? I have 40+ iri heads and 50+ inf belts and 20+ white wards offerings. I think I should use them up now cuz the chances that bhvr will make it completely useless is hight than they will make it good. Thanks for the information tho, sucks to be a survivor in my next 60+ matches lol

I wouldn't mind facing huntress if her hitboxes weren't broken as hell. Fix those, and I don't really care about the iridescent head, to be honest. They just make a glaring issue all the more obvious.

Remove the Killer's ability to hit you with their weapon. Survivors are entitled to free EZ escapes!

I think a better change would be to make it so that it only 1 shots at a distance of 20 meters minimum, this way not every bot can just throw it on and win games

So like, I NEVER use Iri Heads on Huntress, but I do have like 30+ saved up. I hope he doesn't mean that the add-ons will straight up disappear from my inventory though. I'm fine with them changing it, they are really dumb, but at the same time I don't want to lose the like +200K I already have invested in them. Just change the effect and let me keep them all please.

My guess is the'll take them out of the bloodweb and let you use up the ones you have until x date similar to the event items and coins. After the expire by date comes they're either gone or reworked entirely.

I honestly don't even want that LOL Like I said I don't use them, and I don't like using them. I'd rather they just change the effect and let me keep whatever I have with the new effect.
I mean if they reworked it what is most likely? He specifically said "do not invested in INSTANT DOWN Huntress" implying that it will be changed to NOT be instant down. The only reasonable options we have in the game are 1) they inflict Broken status for X time, or 2) they inflict Deep Wounds. There could be another effect that's maybe more creative, but for what's in the game that's what I see them changing it to, and either of them would keep them as very strong but not stupid OP.
But if the go the route of straight removal that would be unfair to players like me that invested a lot of BP into these add-ons, but didn't use them. Like the only reason I even take them is because it's almost fun to see how many I can collect. Don't want to lose my collection, but if they were made balanced I wouldn't have a problem using them either.

The Iridescent Heads are one of the few pink Add-Ons which I would say are a little bit too strong. The other one is Unlimited Evil for Michael, which, while he needs to stalk more, is manageable to get and has a huge Impact.
For Iridescent Heads, it has a Drawback. Which can be partly negated by getting another Add-On. And well... Either 5 normal Hatchets or 3 Insta-Down Hatchets... Pretty clear decision what is better. Of course you cannot (or better: should not) try to hit shots over the whole map, but people using this Add-On Combo are not getting it for this.
What I would wish would be that it trumps all other Add-Ons so that it is not possible to get Extra Hatchets. And then maybe limit the Number of Hatchets to 2, which would still make it strong, but limits the uses and allows to use another Add-On (e.g. Wind-Up Time).

To me they are kind of that extra back up we have to pull out to try and even the playing field some when you know you're going against a swf squad.

Iri head should let it ricochet in addition to current effects. Hit a survivor and it will ricochet and hit a second one. Hit a wall and it will ricochet to the nearest survivor. The ricochet ignores walls and cannot be dodged.

Yes because a ranged insta down is really fair, no other killer in the game has a ranged insta down and even Clown has to hit you to give you the exposed effect. You've also got the no skill proxy camping Huntresses with Iri.
It'd be like a solo player dropping a pallet and stunning the killer 15 meters behind them or a flashlight aimed at a far away killer and the blind goes off.

I think its fine, just treat it like every other power and do your best to avoid it. If your caught without cover that's just poor positioning and it only feels op when you give them an easy shot. If they hit me at my best they earned it, nowhere does it say I always get 2hits before going down.

While they are at it, they need to do something to Spirit's Prayer Beads too. So many bad Spirit rely on this add-on it's ridiculous. This coming from a Spirit main. There is counter play but it's just getting really lame to deal with it on EVERY Spirit player. They aren't ever even that good.

Said every survivor that died to a Spirit using it. This just isn't accurate. It's quite simply just a good addon like any other killers good addons.
As you said, "There is counter play" So this post in meaningless. The addon is fine.

As a Spirit main I've never ever been grabbed by on running it nor surprised hit by one, there's counters but people don't want to run them or learn counters.
Whereas Iri Hatchets are broken due to Grand Canyon wide hitboxes that also hit through walls, rocks, trees.

Somebody asked when Mclean said that iri heads are gonna be reworked, that clip was showing Mclean telling us that iri head is too strong and we should not invest in it.

No dude they are bad. Like I said I'm a Spirit main. I play without NOED, most of the time without Ruin, no mori's, and green or yellow add-ons. I can tell when a player is using Prayer Beads to compensate. If a good Spirit uses Prayer Beads I can tell that too. But most Spirits are not that good they literally rely on Prayer Beads to carry them. It's very obvious. Like I said it has counters, but when you have to play against it ALL THE TIME, and majority of the time the killer isn't even that good it's just lame. Super lame.

lol. So the ULTIMATE add on would be. Well now you need to land a hit with a hatchet which is harder than landing a hit as Legion in frenzy....to achieve the same affect? So effectively turning arguably the best Ultimate in the game into the most pointless. Now go find someone else while they hold down mend...lmfao using an ultimate to get to use another killers power in a far lesser state....LOOLLL
I see why survivors would like that though. All these DS rework topics I see are basically "how to make DS a free get away again" rework. Doesn't surprise me they want this Ultimate gone. Almost all of the ultimate add ons are overbalanced nonsense with HUUGE drawbacks to make them not even "ultimate".

Iridescent hatchets should apply the deep wound status effect so survivors would have to mend and it essentially becomes a time-waste addon. If you hit someone with a hatchet or normal m1 again they enter the dying state of course.

I honestly don't know how people can complain about huntress, her hatchets clip with everything and his dog.
The only time i have died recently one shot or not is if i make a silly mistake or she has to tunnel me off the hook but that still results in the rest of my team getting out.
You can literally find a pallet and lap her around it for 4-5 laps at a time before she forces you to drop it at which time she can still clip/miss and she gets 3 shots at it max.
I find her perfectly balanced, in the hands of a decent player she's ok if the person playing her does it wrong they lose.
Also if you get her on Coldwind Farm she may as well ALT F4 it's laughably easy when she can't mind game you at T-walls.

You act as if I'm a survivor main who just want it nerfed. I play both sides pretty equally (currently more killer) and I want to REWORK her addon to create more fun for both sides, but at the same time keep it very strong while requiring more skill.

At a certain point of progression in this game Ultra-Rares mean nothing because you have enough BP to just spend until you get them. For me I usually stockpile Ultra-Rares on killers because I have nothing else to spend BP on. Point being if rarity is supposed to be a factor in their strength and fairness then you can ignore that for people who have a lot of time in the game.
Personally I'd rather Iridescent Hatchets be reworked as I see them having no place in the game in their current form. I feel very strongly about Instant Heals as well. Mori I feel is arguable but I do feel like something should collectively be done about all the mori offerings that somehow incorporates killing survivors into the game without them. At least making the yellow mori part of the game without offering. The pink and green ones I only see used for daily or when a killer wants to tunnel a specific survivor. I personally only use them in events because at this point in the game if I don't play dirty everything is boring.

Oh man McLean is actually one of the devs who wants some good changes. Honestly, I think his Boss is holding him so much back. They should give McLean more freedom and more responsibility to make decision, we would be in a much better spot.
