Matchmaking and Rank Suggestion
I'm not quite sure why a ranking system like a shooter game would not work with Dead by Daylight. Each individual survivor and killer account should be given a rank number.
For example let's say there are 100 survivors that play during a reset. Each survivor would have a rank number 1 - 100. Same with killer, if there are 100 killers, each gets a rank 1 - 100. There are three ways I could see this being calculated.
1) Keep the current emblem system and just count up points earned. The killer or survivor with the highest point total is rank 1.
2) If we don't like the emblem system, then use in-game blood point totals.
3) I personally think it should just be for kills and escapes. The killer with the most kills would be rank 1 and the survivor with the most escapes would be rank 1.
Then for matchmaking, top 20% for each group would be matched together, then 21 - 40, 41 - 60, 61 - 80 and 81 - 100. This would make all groups have the same number of killer and survivors in the matchmaking pool and help balance queue times across the ranks.
I know the emblem system is made to reward a desired play style, but this could be done and I believe would be more of and influence to do through blood points. So the emblem system could definitely be removed and the last two rank suggestions can still be used and built in such a way to reward and punish desired and undesired play styles.

A secondary thought, ties would be handled like they are in other games. If there are 5 tied for 10th place, they would all have the number 10, but take up slots 10-14.
If there were so many ties that it pushed too many into one side or a matchmaking bracket or another, then a combination of the three suggested rank point ideas could be used. For example, if there were a lot of killers tied at the 19 percentile and kills was the primary ranking mechanism, blood points could be considered next to separate those that were tied.
