Hex ruin and color blindness

As most of the color blind people (about 20% of the world's population) i cannot see the red skill check when hex ruin is active (red color). This way i lost dozens of games. Can you PLEASE make the hex ruin color BLUE or YELLOW, so color blind people get an even chance?

What's wrong with it being red? Can you not see the skill check? I mean, it gives you a notification before it. You can see the progress bar move down when you land a good skill check, this tells you if it's there. There is also a status effect that tells you. Also, there's a special sound for Hex: Ruin. What's wrong with it?

Join this thread and perhaps the devs will take notice at some point:

@MysticalMagic92 For a colorblind person, it's extremely difficult to see the point where you must hit the skill check. Doctor's madness + Ruin means impossible skill checks for colorblind people.

I know color blindness is an issue, but its usually only getting support on games where team colors and AoEs are an issue.

On here it would likely never happen due to potential exploits of non CB people using it to gain an advantage. It's a shame, but more than likely what would happen.

Maybe adjust your gamma or TV brightness? Not being snippy, just trying to think what would help with ruin since it's all red/black.

@Condorloco_26 to be fair, you dont HAVE to hit the great checks.

@Carpemortum I talked about skill checks because that's the OP's concern.

But here's a quick recap of everything wrong with not having colorblind support:

    Gen, hook, and totem auras

Trapper's traps, blood trails and scratchmarks

Teammates in dying state, hooked teammate auras

    OoO

None of these would represent *any* advantage if they were a different color.

They even change gen and hook aura colors during events, so, that's the whole point.

They've already shown they have different colors for auras: see kindred, alert, aftercare, bond, empathy.

They just don't prioritize making these QOL changes.

Trappers traps? They would be more visible to anyone....

After care bond and empathy are all yellow?

    The rest are pink....

They could change those colors to maybe be more vibrant or different, but I've seen people talking about color blindness and how it affects seeing characters and tile sets.

I'm not against it, just stating why I believe they will likely never do it.

@Carpemortum Playing as colorblind trapper it's really difficult to even find the damn traps to go pick them up. I know, it's pathethic. If you happen to stumble upon one, then you pick it up, otherwise it's painful.

Yellow, pink or blue auras don't represent any trouble, I'm advocating for turning all the red auras to *any of those* colors.

And no, obviously a decent colorblind person would never ask for easier Claudette's detection, we all understand that camo and stealth is part of the game.

The problem is mainly with red auras and red skill checks.

@Condorloco_26 oh yeah that makes sense. AS trapper. Idk why I thought you meant against trapper.

So if anything, they need to re work their auras?

@Carpemortum I think that if they added a simple option in which we can pick the color of the auras, it would solve 95% of our colorblind woes.

I gave the other perks' and events examples as proof that they have already coded it into the game, no extra work than just giving us the option for it.
