Dark Devotion + Other Obsession Perks are Stupid

Just remove the requirement to hit the obsession because it's totally luck based whether you run into them or not. Lower the numbers if you need to, just get rid of the arbitrary obsession mechanic.

Yes I *know* you can see the entity's portrait move when chasing the obsession, but if you've already started chasing a non-obsession survivor, why feel forced to give that up to find one particular survivor god knows where on the map?

This perk as well as any other that requires you to find the "right" survivor to get its benefit will forever remain unused by me until their luck-based element is removed. If I find a survivor, any survivor, I'm doing my job as killer and shouldn't be discouraged from wanting to hit them (looking at you PWYF and STBFL).

Obsession perks that encourage tunneling are also just as unfun, but for survivors rather than killers (Dying Light, Remember Me).

Just rework the obsession perks, as any perk that relies on luck is garbage.

All the killer obsession perks with the exception of Save the best for last are garbo.

All the survivor obsession perks are really good except Sole Survivor.

    Science cant explain that.

SpaceCoconuts did a good roasting of this bad perk.

It has too many restrictions to make it useful.

    1) It has a cooldown

    2) you must basic attack the obsession

    3) It only lasts 20 seconds

For this activated perk, you can only make it work in two situations:

    1) Obsession gets hits by you, escapes for 30 seconds, you find them again later and hit them again into dying state. Survivors are nearby but don't see you do this. Perk activates. You run short distance and ambush someone within 20 seconds.

    2) Hit obsession into injured state. Nobody sees you do this. Obsession runs opposite direction of you. You run to opposite side of map with 5 seconds to spare and ambush someone. You must find survivor in time.

The odds of you finding a survivor outside the terror radius in 20 seconds is very slim. This perk is garbage.
