Does Plunderers instinct affect Ace in the hole?

I was wondering if Plunderers instinct affects add on rarity when searching chests

It does not, it only affects the rarity of the base item.
So plunderers is good item
Ace in the hole is good addons
Plunders and ace is good item with good addons. Assuming you dont get unlucky.
