Ruin is a necessary evil and kicking a gen is grabo.
I sometime hate this perk, arguably all but two killers need it. Which are the nurse and the hillbilly. With weaker killers gens pop left and right without it. There is nothing I hate more then seeing my totem spawn next to a gen. And this is more of common thing with old maps as well. As of right now there is no incentive to kick gens. Unless you just hooked someone, you have perks for gens or it's about 90%. Its better to find someone down them and hook or slug if necessary than to waste time kicking a gen that's 23%. Right now it takes 1/4 of a second to remove 1 second of survivors work. It's 80 seconds on a gen for to pop. No tool box, no team mate and not great skill checks. And if a killer was to kick a gen that would was 99% it would take about 4 minutes to get it back to zero. Why is this a thing? This would be a nice buff to killers in general. Instead of nerfing surivors, Keep survivors on there toes.

What's the buff being suggested here?

I think he wants a buff to gen regression. If so I agree but be more specific @Headlock

some of the gen regression permanent should be baseline... automatic regression of 25% or maybe a “hard” skill check the next time someone works on it?

Bring PGTW instead of ruin. Ruin will likely be destroyed quickly but the survivors can’t destroy your PGTW.

Yeah, that's I'm trying to say, a buff to base gen regression would be nice buff to killers in general. Sorry I tend to spiral when I think about these kinda post, To cover all grounds of the subject.

Gen kicking should do certain amount of damage right away without any perks like PGTW, let say about 10% and then regression applies. And probably its better not to buff regression for killers, but nerf gen repair speed for survs - make it 100-120 secs to repair one gen by one surv.

Adding more gen speed is boring and the devs said so, So make it where killers can make gens go down when you kick them.

Alternatively, it should take more than a light tap from a survivor to stop generator regression.
Survivors should go trough a generator restart animation that take about 2 seconds during wich the generator does not progress. If they can't complete the full animation (because they are interupted or flee), the generator regression keeps going.
Also failing the Overcharge skill check should resume generator regression.
