My thoughts are that the devs lied about reworking him and pumped out more DLC, if we are being completely honest.

Maybe if we just nerf him hard enough he'll suddenly jump to the other end of the spectrum and be nurse tier?
Like how Ghandi in civ is peaceful until he researches nukes. Then he gets so peaceful that it turns him to maximum aggressiveness.

I'm sad that it will just be a progress update, but stating that it is a full gameplay overhaul has certainly piqued my interest!

I mean no offense but this is exactly what i mean. We had a target, and then 3 months later you give us a blog post with more "we're totally working on it we promise."
This freddy rework "update" feels like more "we know we haven't delivered anything in literally a year but we promise we're still working on it and hopefully we'll have details to share eventually".
We get it, you want us to feel heard but all you're doing is doubling down on vagueness.

You have no idea how much Freddy mains such as myself are dreading this rework. He needs QoL stuff and that's it. The rest is purely about mastering his power, something none of the "Freddy's weak, hurrdurr" people have achieved. He's a more than decent Killer in skilled hands that invested a lot of time into learning him properly. By the sounds of it, severely altering his power, this rework will be a big middle finger to us -.-

It's close to 2 years at this point since Freddy's release and he's still trash
all licensed killers except Myer is not viable and they are all bad
how hard to would it be to change his dream transition time until the final rework is here instead of trashing a Killer for 2 years?

I consider myself a Freddy main.
His power as-is is flawed on a fundamental level. He is like an inverse Nurse, but instead of breaking the game in his favor like the Nurse, he breaks it in the survivor's favor. There's a reason most killer tier lists give him his own tier.
Can he 4K even at the highest ranks? Certainly. But even the best Freddy mains can't match the quickness and brutality of their counterparts of any of the other killers.

I feel you, dude. I got severely burned by the Symmetra rework in Overwatch and now have a slight case of rework ptsd, and I just really hope things will be better for us Freddy folk.

You can't complain about a lack of updates and then pop off when they provide said updates - The Mid-Chapter Patch is just around the corner, so feel free to pop off AFTER if nothing materializes.

All he needs is a slight buff making Skillchecks in the dream world a bit less frequent .. I find it funny that even with two add ons to reduce skillcheck chances in the dream world survivrs in high ranks seem to break out almost immediately .
As for his lunge attack I think it's Decent just like the Pig .. it's a Generously long enough .
Buffing him too much will also hurt survivors . Just like wraith not every killer needs to be too op

I very rarely saw Freddy Mains beeing even able to master half toxic Players on Rank 8's. I never REALLY NEVER saw since im playing this Game for 2 Years and longer since release after a Freddy Patch a Rank 4 (red rank) Freddy. His power you just mentioned that you think its ok and ONLY hard to master which is bullshit NEEDS just to be better.
Dont tell me anything else and not hurr blurr people, because you think hes actually great on your potatoe Survivors and only need some few Patches. Freddy is LOW Tier, hes the weakest Killer of ALL.
I've been in aso many Community Party's, like literally EVERYONE which are nice in this game and EVEN just only half great in this game, knows how to dodge an Freddy Main super Easy.
This Post isnt meant for hate on your comment, but i can't take your Post serious. People actually paying Money for this weak Killer, and thats why they all want a COMPLETELY REWORK!
