Ranking System - Rework!

Hi All,

I'm new here, but have been playing DBD for almost a year. My player level is 57 (Devotion 1) and I have achieved Rank 1 Killer (I'm now rank 12). I play on PS4 as both Survivor & Killer (Purchased all Killers, some Survivors). I've joined this forum because I'm on my last straw with this game and would like to explain my frustrations, starting with Rank Reset.


PROBLEM:


I am so fed up of the rank reset in this game, I can't believe it is still in game after so many people have complained about it. The reason it is incredibly frustrating is due to being paired up with new players who don't play as a team or just disconnect immediately. I play DBD pretty often, but I also like other games (Just finished Sekiro) and there are times where I don't play for a month or two which means by the time I come back to it, my rank has been reset and i'm paired with noobs. It makes it really difficult to enjoy DBD when you're playing with players who either don't care or don't know what their doing. The entire game revolves around teamwork and when you're an experienced player playing with inexperienced players it completely destroys the fun.


EXAMPLES:

  • Disconnecting immediately after being caught
  • Not rescuing you from hooks
  • Blowing up generators you're working on


SOLUTION:

  • USE PLAYER LEVEL: I understand the ranking system is used for matchmaking purposes, but it would make so much more sense to use the player level for this as you can tell who is more experienced based on their level. Regardless of who you play as more frequently, if you have a high player level you will understand how the game works and your objectives.

OR

  • CASUAL / RANKED PLAYLIST: Include 2 playlists so players can choose if they want to play properly and those who are just in it for casual game play. Make the Ranked Playlist available after Player level 50 or Devotion 1.


I honestly love playing DBD and enjoy most games (not recently with the amount of bugs and reworks etc... but I'll get to that in another post) but this is really annoying me and is pushing me away from the game. I feel i'm being penalised for playing other games which is really unfair.
