Legion Update Opinons
THE LEGION
- The Legion’s base movement speed is increased to 4.6m/s.
- The Legion’s Terror Radius is increased to 32m.
- Most of The Legion’s add-ons are rebalanced or reworked to account for the changes to Feral Frenzy and the Deep Wound status effect.
- The Iridescent button addon no longer requires The Legion to apply Deep Wound for the effects to be active.
All of these changes to their base kit are very solid. No complaints here. Faster movement speed make them more viable to chase their victims without Frenzy Cheese. Larger Terror Radius will help find more survivors with Killer Instinct. Can't say anything about the add-ons until I see how they work in game. The Iri Button change is pretty good, now that Frenzy hits can't bleed out survivors.
FERAL FRENZY UPDATE
- The recharge time of Feral Frenzy is increased and now requires a full power gauge to use it. Once it has been activated, the Legion must wait until the power gauge is full to be able to trigger the power again.
I don't really understand this change. Does it really matter if the Frenzy power has to be full if you can't stab them to death with Deep Wounds anymore?
- The duration of Feral Frenzy is increased. The Legion spends longer in frenzy.
This makes Legion good for using Frenzy for distance.
- The movement speed of Feral Frenzy is significantly reduced. The Legion moves faster than base speed while in frenzy, but not as fast as they did before.
I can't say much about this until I see this in game. But I hope it won't make much as a difference. But the duration will probably compensate for that.
- The Legion can no longer see blood pools (in addition to not seeing scratch marks) while in Feral Frenzy.
I don't understand this either. Does it matter if the Legion can see bloodstains now that you can't bleedout within the terror radius?
- Feral Frenzy is immediately and automatically cancelled whenever The Legion misses an attack while in frenzy.
I think this change make it good for people who just use Legion in a braindead matter and not care if they miss. It was a big part about what made Legion but Legion, but I think it's for the better.
DEEP WOUND UPDATE
- The Deep Wound timer pauses for survivors within The Killer's Terror Radius–regardless of whether they are in a chase or not.
One of the best things about the rework. No more Moonwalk Cheese. Actual counterplay against Legion
- The Deep Wound timer pauses while Mending.
Does it really matter if the Deep Wound timer doesn't go down within the Terror Radius?
- The Killer does not see the Deep Wound timer progress–only the Deep Wound bar to know that Deep Wound has been applied.
I'm not so sure about this. I see what they were going with this though. Since Deep Wounds are terror radii-based, it can basically be a built in Whispers.
- The Deep Wound timer progress is no longer reduced by regular Feral Frenzy attacks.
Gives more counterplay against Legion. No more spamming frenzy to down someone.
For the most part, the changes are good. They give Legion more potential to chase outside of Frenzy and more fair to go against. However, some of the tracking-type nerfs don't make any sense. I can imagine more better Legion plays if you end up finding blood near a mending survivor and you can smack them.
