What if giving the last survivor the hatch gave the killer the same amount of blood points as a kill
here me out. i don't want to reward killers for not getting the 4k, as they "should" have to kill all 4 survivors to please the entity (and thusly pip up in rank as a better and more efficient killer) but in regards to game health and people who don't care so much about rank, i believe awarding the same amount of bloodpoints under an action called "Mercy?" for dropping a survivor on a hatch for which if they escape through within 5s gives the bonus, would be a nice touch and a reward for the kinder players among us. i don't think it neccessarily would promote outright giving the survivor the hatch every time, but if i wish to reward a player for playing well, and recognise their skill letting them escape, i should get a small insignificant bloodpoint reward. to be honest i think this action actually fits within dbd as a whole as the entity is said not to just feed off of the emotional turmoil of the survivors, but all emotion it elicits and hope is just another thing it feeds off of. hell i'd even say giving a survivor the hatch like this should decrease the sacrifice emblem, ( but that could possibly be abused to derank, unless the debuff was incredibly small)
all in all i think there should be more subtle interactions like this based on player behaviour that give logical (or possibly illogical) bloodpoint bonuses to categorys. you narrowly escape through the exit gate with the killer right behind you? get a small buff for a "clutch escape". find a survivor you originally lost in a chase? gain "Satisfaction / revenge" bloodpoint bonus to be applied end of game. not asking for extra points in emblems so much as little subtle interactive bloodpoints gained through specific behaviors, not so much to reward specific styles of play over others, but to validate a player acting a specific way
(i also think being mori'ed within 5 ft of a hatch/open exit gate should give bonus cruelty points but thats less about game health and more about me occasionally wanting to be a bit cruel towards overly toxic (ie sandbagging, revealing your teammates) survivors.)

This would be a good idea and if you down the person then drop them to the hatch get bonus points. Both BP and perhaps Emblem points since you're basically feeding the entity the survivor has hope of escaping in the future.

Really like that, "Feeding the Entity Hope"

i really like that too.. kind of why i proposed the whole idea, because it does fit thematically

I wouldn't mind getting some kinda "you owned them and they had to use that hole for the losers , so here are some BP for you".

I always laugh when I give someone the hatch because they know and I know their arse was mine and they only lived through my good graces. I don't slug and if one gets the hatch it's not the end of the world for me.
If the person was griefing and or doing nothing the entire game but waiting I'll injure the 1 and go hunt that person down. But the bonus points for say good sportsmanship would be great.

Well, of course. I wrote this in several Threads, the Hatch Escape when 3 Survivors are dead should give the Killer basically a 4K instead of a 3K. The Killer did not lose that Survivor or whatever, he just found the Hatch. And not only if the Killer gives the Hatch because he is a nice guy, simply also when the Survivor founds it first. This would cancel Hatch Stand-Offs completely, because there would be no reason for a Killer to deny the Hatch, when he gets the same points.

So some kind of "Live to tell the story" bonus, like the idea.
