Chucky Concept

Chucky faces a significant problem as a killer concept. He's too small. He can't carry people. How would he place people on hooks? The idea might be sound, the mechanics of using him would be a nightmare.

...unless...


Let's say the killer isn't 'Chucky' per' se. Let's say the killer is Charles Lee Ray.

Left Mouse click causes a 3 second cast, before a lightning bolt drops down (Visible and audible to all players) that transforms you into the killer doll known as "Chucky"

As Chucky, your Terror Radius is significantly reduced. Your weapon, the Voodoo blade becomes infused with power. Your basic attack gives survivors Hindered status for 10 seconds and Mangled status for 30. (Chucky slashes at your ankles and legs) A basic attack with Chucky curses survivors and grants permanent aura visibility up to 56 meters for injured survivors while in transformed into Chucky. While transformed into Chucky, basic attacks cannot put survivors into the dying state.

Chucky cannot carry survivors.

Chucky cannot hook survivors.

Chucky cannot break pallets,

Chucky has reduced vault speed by 5%

Chucky cannot open lockers

Chucky cannot damage generators


As Charles Lee Ray, your Terror Radius is averaged at 32 meters. Your weapon, the Voo Doo blade deals basic damage and can put survivors into dying state. Your basic attacks grant no additional.

Charles Lee Ray can carry survivors

Charles Lee Ray can hook survivors

Charles Lee Ray can break Pallets

Charles Lee Ray can vault at normal speeds


The idea behind the concept is for Chucky to be a sneaky sort of killer, yet balanced with fair counterplay. The audible and visual lightning strike allows survivors a brief moment of awareness of Chucky/Charles position, and Chucky's inability to break pallets and vault at a reduced speed gives Survivors a chance to escape him momentarily. However, Chucky's increased movement speed allows for swift chases and application of his blade's abilities. Once Chucky hits a survivor, he knows where they are for the rest of the match, but only while in his doll form, which cannot put survivors into dying state. In turn, Chucky since Chucky is too small to carry or hook, Charles Lee Ray must preform these actions, thus, after a successful attack as Chucky, he is forced to transform into Charles, giving survivors some 3 seconds of a head start to escape, hide, heal, etc. Chucky's reduced terror radius and increased movement speed allows for sneaky attacks, and his granted aura reading ability allows him to know a general area of a survivor before transforming to Charles to get in the strike that leads to dying.


Comments/questions/feed back would be appreciated. I really did try to make the concept fair, and fun with balanced counter play, although, considering the model engine of the came, the idea may never actually come to fruition, so a simple concept piece for now.

    This is actually the first Chucky idea I've ever seen that wasn't a pipe dream. Good job!
