Why cant we know the results of our reports?

So a while back I went through the process of opening a ticket with support to report 2 players who held the game hostage for like 40 mins or so. Usually I don't bother going through the hastle but in this case the 2 were so toxic. I opened a ticket with Support. After a week of back and forth with the support member, (I think I dealt with 2 different people over the week) and once they had all the evidence I had submitted, the last message I got was along the lines of "ok thank you we will now look into it, however we cannot tell you the result of our investigation."

I gotta admit, it was pretty frustrating to wait all that time, just to have be left wondering if they ever got even a warning. I have played other games where you at least get a notification next time you log on if a report you made merited action taken. Even steam drops you a message when content you flag gets removed.

know it doesn't change the result but it would sure be nice to know that you made a real impact on improving the community and might even motivate more people to take the time to report these hackers/griefers/toxic players.

    Agreed

I want to know if my report did a really good job for reporting toxic player or not

Other games can do that so why this game can't??

Xbox does this it motivates me to report people that actually do stuff it you don't get a result it feels like it isn't working and then people believe reports don't work.

Blizzard does it as well. When I report a player in Overwatch, if action was taken I will get a notice that pops up on my menu screen that states an action was taken against an account that I reported.

Naturally, it won't state what action, but it will notify you that "an action" was taken.

Well playing the pessimistic guy here: they probably just hand out automatic notifications so people like you feel like they did a pretty good report and stay motivated to play with the hope that the toxicity will be less.

Report feedback is totally motivator and makes us know that something happens with they we reported. In LOL we have a report feedback always when someone we reported gets an punishment, they don't say the nick of the player or the kind of punishment, but gives us a feedback. It should be in DBD as well.

@HavelmomDaS1 And I'm sure it works for some players. Me? Hell, I've been a Blizzard player since 1994 when Warcraft: Orcs and Humans first released. What is that, 25 years now that I've been playing Blizzard titles? I'm obviously not going anywhere, and their other games don't notify you anyway. Not even WoW.

But you're right and so is @Guertena, as the Overwatch forums have shown concerning that feature.
