I think staying within 16 m of an exit should make the collapse go quicker
I think the endgame sounds promising but I don’t know how this would negatively effect those swf who will hold the game hostage. They could just stand in the gates for 2 minutes 59 seconds as is right now.
I think this would be a fair change for the game. Now there are behaviors that should be discouraged for both killer and survivors.

If survivors are already in the exit gate you can hit them out.
If they're within a 16m range of the exit gate, you can find them and attack them, worst case scenario the game may be delayed by a few minutes. This is still an improvement on what existed before and will bring the game to a definite end.
A mechanic such as this could also be abused by survivors looking to grief as they can then force the timer to go faster, resulting in the death of others who may still be in the trial (whether they're in a chase, moving for a rescue or other).

I find survivors sticking around for a smack on the butt is increasingly rarer. They see you coming, they furiously teabag, and then run away like cowards.
Why should I give them the satisfaction of getting more blood points and the opportunity to act like a certain male appendage?

No - survivors rally there when injured to hopefully have another survivor arrive and heal in order to mount a better rescue attempt on a hook. Unless you want to give us all voice comms so we can coordinate where to heal? No I didn't think so.
