Love the Endgame but...

Love the idea of the new endgame, but when it comes to just closing the hatch, isn't there a simpler way they could've done it? They could've done something like the killer closes the hatch, and after a certain timer it respawns in a new location. Is the exit gates being powered by the hatch close really necessary?

I still think it respawning in a new location after being closed is really the simplest fix they could've done besides it just closing. But who knows maybe they thought of that and it just didn't work.
