Genrushing

The problem with dbd that annoys me the most has to be the stupid genrush, Everytime i start a game my ruin always gets destroyed in about a minute and then i get in a chase which last around meh 20 sec to 2 min and during that time 2 gens has already been done. Then one goes for the save while 2 works on gen and boom 1 gen left in just 6-7 min in a game. Not balanced at all. it's very rare for me to play a game without my ruin getting destroyed immediately, maybe this is just very bad rng for me, can't say for sure.

Bring whispers instead of ruin and defend the generators closest together. Leave survivors that are away from that part of the map.

I don't usually bring ruin. I opt for Overcharge because cocky survivors can mess up a gen majorly if they choose to loop around it and it's hilarious. Also can sometimes notify me of when survivors are over there. Survivors won't always hit that skill check, though personally I think the higher levels of the perk should have like two back to back. Discordance is also really good for telling where the pressure is.

Don’t chase them for two minutes. You’re getting gen rushed because you refuse to cut chase. If ruin is getting destroyed that fast then use something like discordance, overcharge, PGTW or sloppy butcher.

Genrush is as much of a "thing" as killrushing, gen repair speed is in a pretty good place right now.

Maybe try different builds and try not to get dependent on ruin. Pop goes the weasel can be good situationally, discordance will let you know where you should be going to stop them, etc., ruin is really a bandaid for weaker killers. It's actually crazy that lately every single Billy and Nurse I run into more has ruin, which never used to be the case in red ranks. Ruin is more of a band aid for killers without strong map control, or for players who just don't know how to play killer particularly well.

You're gonna need to stop chasing someone for 2 mins. If you can't get the hit in 20-30secs just let them go and do more gen patrols. The game is sort of in a weird place right now. Base gen repair speed for a solo survivor per gen is fine, but when you add more survivors on gens and toolboxes/perks the case could be made that the game is going too fast. Killer has turned into pure time management in seconds.

Some players will say genrush isn't a thing, but as much as they don't want to admit that it is a thing it is hard to refute some of the more ridiculous clear times that exist. Ruin's not really going to last long unless you make it a point to protect it and even then you'd give up map pressure doing it. Just play the match and do what you can to get people of the floor. Though slugging won't be particularly potent it does work better to slow people down. Consider switching to more meta killers with better mobility as well.

Oh boy Oh boy, I think you should use my basement build to get those cheesy survivors hooked!
