Clown buff
Hi everybody Im here to propose a clown buff.Im a p3 clown main (thats right clown mains exist) thats played for a long time.
The change I want to propose is to increase the clowns slow from 15% to 20%.
I play clown how hes suppost to be played and herd survivors,I dont mindlessly throw my tonic at survivors because I know that slows me more than it helps me however when I gas off an area most survivors just go through my gas because they dont really care about the slow.the clown is suppost to punish you if you go through his gas which is meant to prevent a loop or force down a pallet.
There have been times when I closed off a loop with my tonic only for the survivor to go through my gas and manage to make it to the pallet by mere centimeters right before I got a hit.
There are otherways the devs can buff the clown either by cutting the 1 second slow after throwing a tonic by half or by bringing down the 15% slow that the clown recives after tossing a tonic to 7%.Even though these are ways the devs can buff the clown it incourages the clown to throw his tonic directly at a survivor instead of corraling them which completly ignores the point of the tonic which is to coral and stop loops.
So if a dev is reading this please buff the clowns tonic slow from 15% to 20%.
One more thing my dudes please do not make this thread a killer/survivor sided argument,everybodys thought’s and arguements are completly valid regardless of which side your on whether killer or survivor.

I am a fan of the clown and any buff for him is fine to me

I would love if his slowdown from throwing bottles was removed. Or that inhaling his gas causes Survivors to stop their actions, instead of limiting it to just landing the bottle right on the Survivor.

I really don't think he needs any big buffs (sorry if that's not what your proposing i haven't actually read it). He's actually a fairly balanced killer, the problem is he's very boring to play as in my opinion

Honestly I feel like the biggest reason that Clown struggles is the fact that his chase is only slightly above average, yet that's his entire kit. If his kit's going to be dedicated entirely to the chase at the cost of any truly decent form of Tracking, Stall, or Map Pressure, it needs to be exceedingly good at it's job, which right now it really isn't.
Honestly the idea of cutting his self-slow to 7% rather than 15% and increasing the tonic to a 20% slow would actually make him feel like he has a proper power even without addons, and could easily push him up to mid-tier in my book.
Though, he also needs a lot of bug-fixes as well <_<

Clown should also cover a bigger area when you throw his bottles at tall places.
Right now if you throw a bottle to a tall tree for example, the gas will not stay for long and in the middle of the area there wont be any gas...

Reducing the reload time might work.
I thought he doesnt get slowed while throwing anymore?

I like clown i just feel like his bottles and ability dont do much for him, other than just slow survivors in chases.. that's it.
Like idk man get creative maybe after 3 direct hits he can throw one at a gen and its like a molotov and forces survivors off the gens because
1 it's burning so itll burn them
2 he can kick it to regress it
3 or he can insta down with molotov
Clowns whole ability is just as dumb as legions... man throws bottle OMFG HE'S GONNA KILL ME!

I like the Clown aestheticly. I think he is well crafted.
But I don't like how unimpactfull his power can feel and how underwhelming most of his add-ons are when they are not downright useless.
Survivors would certainly respect his tonic more if it had some sort of cumulative effect. The more you breath in, the worse it should be.

I love playing Clown but he definitely needs some love. Base reload time is way too long. Most long wall/short wall pallet setups are still safe even if the survivor runs through the gas. That goes for many pallets as well. Survivors tend to just drop pallets early against him to make the loop safe. I think he should be able to inhale his gas and become intoxicated while sprinting and swinging his knife (not a one shot down) for some map pressure like a cross between Billy and Leatherface's run.

I really hope they do something to him to make more want to play him. I rarely face him and he's one of my favorite killers simply by design

He is relatively balanced, I have been enjoying Clown recently.
A small buff wouldn't hurt.
