What is your Dead by Daylight Unpopular Opinion?
Comments
-
People need to stop complaining and demanding a nerf/buff for everything. Most of the game works very well together.
6 -
Leatherface DLC was unnecessary and Legion deserves unmasked cosmetics.
1 -
Prayer beats is bullshit and needs a rework
3 -
1. Noone claimed Legion is op
2. Annoyance is subjective. U can't say "he's not annoying" to the 95% player base complaining bow annoying he is.
2 -
- camping is necessary against a good team. It is too hard to deal with 4 competent survivors, someone has to be pushed out asap.
- Huntress is overrated. Her hatchets pretty much even out her movement speed, so why not just play a fast killer?
- spirit (without beads) is a mediocre, budget nurse.

Toolboxes should only work on hooks.
0 -
That's it! You're not getting any award winning chili!
2 -
Legion was a mistake and these changes make him easier to buff in the future.

There should be an unlimited supply of anything common in survivor and killer inventories. Wouldn't matter for veteran players for the most part but it would be good for easing newer players into the game by giving them immediate access to a diverse set of tools as survivor and killer. Also brown medkits would be an alternative to self-care.
To clarify: Survivor items and any common add-on for both survivor and killer. Exclude offerings as none of them have direct impact on the game aside from fog offerings. This gives survivors a free medkit or toolbox each trial and for killers it gives them access to common addons for their power.

Just look at my post history. I've made plenty of suggestions/wishes that go "against the social norm".

Stealth is fun and perfectly viable, even against the Doctor. Which btw is a very strong anti looping killer but has a high skill floor.
Hex: Ruin is a waste of a slot unless in certain specific builds.
The Nurse and the Hillbilly, once you have the mechanical knowledge, are very easy and straightforward killers and don't require so much skill as people believe, especially the Nurse.
3 -
@Nickenzie Aaah, you are giving me a heart attack here! ;) You are really a Nurse main. :)

When not using exploits Legion is fun to go against.
2 -
I dont want Jason Voorhees as a killer. I want Pamela Voorhees.

Billy isn’t good.
Console nurse isn’t as bad as people say.
Nea isn’t ugly unless you put a makeup skin on her.
Myers isn’t hot.
Urban evasion only seems like a bad perk because of how some people use it.
Legion change isn’t that bad.
Self-care is only good if paired with BK.
New leader isn’t trash.
The game is balanced.
Snowballing isn’t fun for either side.
Wraith is the most fun killer to play.

Developers did a pretty good job so far.
They managed to get so many people addicted to such a broken game.

I get sick and tired of seeing a new perk come along (killer or survivor) and then it ends up getting changed. The devs should grow a pair and quit trying to cater to those that just want to complain. Are there perks that favor one side or the other? Absolutely. That's part of the game. There are perks that I love as a killer and perks that I despise as a killer. Some of those same perks I may have exactly the opposite feelings about when I play as a survivor. However what I HATE HATE HATE is getting used to a certain perk and then it suddenly changes because people want to whine about it. There are perks that favor survivors and there are perks that favor killers. It makes both sides have to work a little harder to make the game competitive. But the level of swinging the pendulum back and forth gets to be ridiculous. It makes the game less enjoyable for your actual core audience that just wants to play and not have to constantly adapt to rule changes because people want to whine.

Legion is god-tier.

@NoShinyPony Don't worry, I play Pig as well and I do see what you're talking about. However, even as a Pig you need to know how to run loops, moonwalk, minigame, when to camp, and etc.
1 -
mark Hoffman should of been the pig instead of amanda
3 -
We need 5-8 perk slots to have moar funz
0 -
solo survivors should be equal to swf so the devs can balance killer better
7 -
Nea mains unite!
2 -
But that's the point. Grind brings regular players. And balance doesn't matter in a casual game apparently.

I want to quit playing the game all together until the DC epidemic is put under control with strict penalties.
I miss the days where I could get into a match and just play/have fun without worrying about ass-hats DC'ing for petty reasons. Now I get them every day, in almost every match, no matter what role I'm playing, and because of them I'm rarely having fun anymore. It's my unpopular opinion that DC'ing for petty, Unsportsmanlike reasons is killing the game as a whole, and I want the players who do it to be punished with a softban until they learn that this crap is unacceptable behavior. This is a Multiplayer game and that doesn't entitle anyone to win every match. You bought this game knowing that but you still act like over entitled toxic brats and quit the moment something doesn't go your way. If you're not going to play the damn game, then you don't deserve to. [BAD WORD] off already, and let me have my fun again.

Teachable Perks are the biggest thing throwing off the balance of the game.
Unnerving Presence is more powerful on Doctor than anyone else because of the nature of his power, same for Iron Maiden on Huntress, BBQ on Nurse, Make Your Choice on Hag.... so on and so on.
Survivors have loads of pretty powerful perks that can become over powered when used in certain combinations and by everyone on the team.

I think that one should build a perk build off of the character's 3 unique/personal perks. For example: Dwight has Bond, Prove Thyself, and Leader. The 4th perk should complement this unique build's playstyle/character but it can only be a default perk (Perks that don't have an "owner", such as Hope, No One Left Behind, We'll Make It, e.t.c), therefore we take No One Left Behind because Dwight is a team oriented character. Meg should have Lightweight because... well, she's lightweight. This adds a potential for roleplaying as well. You wouldn't play Dwight the same way you'd play Meg, right? He's a team engineer and she's an athlete. If you have the same build on both characters, you're most likely going to dismiss the need for aesthetics and roleplaying, making the game feel incredibly stale and boring. This way it adds variety, plus you might find that you like one character more than the other purely based on their personality and how they approach a problem. Well, that's my opinion at least.
TL;DR: Making builds is hard, therefore you should stick to the ones the character provides and have fun.
1 -
Feng Min isn't the ugliest female, Laurie Toad is
Hillbilly is the least balanced killer in the game
Legion is fun
Coldwind farm is fun as killer
The new ranking system is much better than the old one
Watching streamers playing survivor is boring
We shouldn't be trying to ban people so much
Game bans should be six months rather than permanent
You should kill everyone if survivors DC rather than let them farm from you
3 -
Legion didn't need a rework, his addons did.
2 -
People who use Prayer Beads or Scratched Mirror+Lerys for a supposed jumpscare build are just trying to justify the little to no counterplay.
2 -
Dead hard is not that good
2 -
well thats just true
Father's glasses' effect also doesnt have any counter play aside from no-mither.
0 -
Getting mori'ed is fun. I actually love watching the animation for each one. Im excited to "collect" a mori from each killer lol
0 -
Whispers is the best perk in the game.
1 -
Oh, and another one: Stake Out is really good
2 -
Freddy doesn't deserve to be called the "F tier killer".
Chainsaw killers are broken in this game.
0 -
The devs are doing a decent job compared to most of the games I've seen.
4 -
Nurse and Doc are OP and should be removed.
1 -
4k under 3 min should be the norm
0 -
Survivors have OP swf and perks, but (some) killers have way way OP addons with perk combos. (way stronger than nurse with no add-ons or perks) For example:
Omega blink nurse
Insta saw billy
Iridescent hatchets with utility belt and a full perk load out
prayer beads and father's glasses.
tombstone Myers.
Legion with Frank's and dirt, both cooldown add-ons, or Frank's and stab wound studies.
Hag with mint rag, shackles and make your choice.
Pill bottle and class photo Freddy (if u know what you're doing)
All very very strong with little counterplay... Not just legion's add-ons.
But a seal team 6 swf is equal to these.
2 -
My most unpopular opinion?
Ash was a worse addition to the game than Legion was.
If you play Ash, you aren't deserving of the tile of "human being".
0 -
There are far more sweaty try-hard killer mains than survivor mains.
5 -
3 things.
- I know DBD already once said no "nurfing" the nurse but still OP with 3 blink/add-ons.
- Hopefully good update for bug fix and balance to Legion in this upcoming update.
- PLEASE do something with the DCs of killers and especially survivors. (Penalty system like League, even detect Task Manager force quit. For now, this problem is too huge)
0 -
4k under 3 minute should be the balance standard
0 -
Pre-Balance DS was actualy a pretty weak perk.
Ash is the worst survivor skin.
Stealth + stealth perks are pretty powerful. [Spinechill, calmspirit, ironwill, urban evasion]

Michael is not hot. He's kinda trash as a character throughout all media.
