Snatching Survivors

I'm pretty new to DBD and i noticed that you can grab people from windows and planks, but i have no idea how specifically. Could someone explain how to me? i assume you have to be literally touching the survivor in order to grab them, but usually i just slash them and they go through.

The survivors have to be injured for you to grab them off windows or pallets

As stated, they have to be injured to get the grab from a window or pallet. You have to make sure you are just hitting M1 and not going for the lunge. Lunges do not work for a grab.

You can pull them off a generator, totem, or chest no matter their health state though, and of course you can pull them out of lockers at any time.

I see... do you guys think changing it so you can pull them off of windows and pallets when they're not injured is a good idea?

No. That would make it a bit OP imo. I get grabs reasonably often as it is right now. If they made it so you could grab when at full health, it would be way too easy and make windows and vaults much less useful. Though it's not necessarily a bad idea for that reason.

what about making the range for being able to grab them when they are injured larger, or maybe make it so the lunge grabs them. It would save a small amount of killer time.

When performing a lunge you are going for a hit. If they are injured this doesn't matter one bit, only saves some time. You should decide whether to lunge or grab. If anything I wish they would 'reintroduce' the grab function to fast vaulting window hops.

Well that was the point, to save some time.
