The Legion Rework (Fantasy)
I feel the gameplay rework I would begin to spell out hear would be far too much to implement and perhaps viewed as overpowered by some or most but I can still dream xD
Imagine if playing as or against the legion was commanding or facing the entire group. Probably not a new idea considering I am much late to the forums but hear me out. As the killer you spawn into the match with three henchmen and a reworked power. Your power allows to send one of your henchmen out to guard a specific position. You can only send one out at a time with a delay until you can send the next, for simplicity lets say 10 seconds. Once all three henchmen have been effectively positioned, the next call for the power actually sends the player into the normal feral frenzy with the ability to apply deep-wound to a survivor like we have seen. I would say blood and scratch mark should indeed remain invisible, and multiple misses won't end frenzy, but once the survivor is hit or the frenzy timer is up, the killer is forced back to normal with all henchmen slowly returning back to his side shortly afterward. This would also remove the killers ability to see blips of survivors using feral frenzy but thats where I'd like to shine the spotlight on the henchmen. The henchmen will provide the killer with the aura of survivors that enter their field of view. If the survivor gets to close to the henchmen they will apply a light slash at the survivor, the first slash though will not injure them, only apply the exhausted status effect, the second slash however will injure them, but a injured survivor will not and cannot be downed by a henchmen they will simply push away any survivor. Only the main killer may do the final dirty work. The henchmen however will be able to chip away at the deep-wound timer if an affected survivor approaches.
I do fear that this system could be quite complicated, but it might add some interesting depth. The only counter-plays I could think of was having the survivors be able to blind henchmen with flashlights or trigger an interaction that would force a henchmen to return to the main killers side further delaying the feral frenzy, since it can only be used once all henchmen have been placed.
Again probably a bit overkill of a thought but I wanted to share the fantasy none the less xD i'd welcome any feedback to it. It'd be nice to refine it into something actually workable though I am not that optimistic. See you all at the campfire <3
