Bugged or cheating?

So I just played a game against a huntress and for some reason 3 of the 4 survivors had buggy hooks, including me.

For one of them the game just disconnected them.

The second one they had to disconnect because the hook percentage bar wasnt going down.

For me I was hooked three times, and the last hook that kills you, wasnt happening, so the only thing I could do was disconnect.

The last guy died on a hook without a disconnect so I'm guessing he wasnt effected.

So that begs the question. Was this just a coincidence that 3 people's hooks were bugged or was it cheating?

Please tell me your thoughts as this is quite odd.

    Sounds like a very odd bug. I don’t think it could’ve been cheating, as there isn’t any way to really force the hooks into not killing you from any known methods or past reports that I’ve checked up on, so the only thing I can say is that it might be a very rare bug. Anything is up for debate though.
