Survivors are TOXIC af
I'm saying this as a survivor main too. I will play killer for a ritual and I get so much salt at the end it's ridiculous. It doesn't matter if they live or die there's always something to be said lol.
Mind you I don't have BBQ&Chili and I don't tunnel but SOMEHOW, I'm still a tunneling camper even though I go out of my way to not go after the unhooked person. Now I see what killer mains see after every match which is sad.
Don't get it twisted though, there's some arse hole killer mains too lol.

Yep, it happens on both sides. Some of the complaints are wild though, like guarding your totem is toxic... or escaping 100% valid through the gate against a mori is toxic.
This game's community is messed up beyond repair.

Yeah, it is bad. I play on console and I switched my messages to friends only. Killer usually gets a ton of salt.

Honestly toxic killers arent that bad. at most they are annoying, but toxic survivors.... dear god its horrible. im a survivor main btw.

It's rarer to run into a bad one. But I mean look around these forums. Plenty of toxic Killer mains that attack other posters. In game, you'll see them here and there. Survivors have 4x the chance of showing toxicity and you will ALWAYS have the chance to see a salty Survivor even when playing that side. If you play Killer, you won't see a toxic one.
Neither side is justified.

Worst thing is that most of them are so hypocrite...
I had a SWF team joining my lobby and they had 4 MoM, 4 Adrenaline, 4 Exhaustion Perks, 4 DS, 3 Med-kits and 1 flashlight. Two of them even switched characters before the countdown ended.
I know when SWF teams join my lobby because I check their profiles first so I thought "time to ruin their game" I used my Billy with insta-saw, the meta build for Billy and and an Ebony Mori.
When the game ended they all called me a scrub, a noob and how I suck a the game because I used a Mori, they also compared by IQ with a 💩 because I was using Billy.
I honestly like when they do that because It shows how salty their are and it makes me laugh even more + they most probably will get banned by PSN once I report them because you can get banned for little to nothing.
But of course not everyone is like that, there are survivors out there who are actually waaaaaaay better than these people and dont even think about sending hate msgs or teabagging or anything like that, those are respectable survivors.

I saw all they had after the game.
If I see 4 survivors entering at the same time who speak the same language and/or I cant see their friends list I'll bring an Ebony Mori. If I see they're playing cool and all I'll keep the Mori for their last hook but if I see they dont heal and instead just gen rush me be ready for a 2min game because I'll use the Mori the second I can.
If they wanna play toxic/super tryhard I'll do it too.

As a survivor main I can agree as well.
Are there ######### killers? Yes definitely but you can't compare them with the amount of toxic survivors. A lot of survivors are not able to understand this until they try the killer side themselves and see what it is like.

@Delfador I agree. It's why when I first started playing killer, (this was a year ago on XBOX) I had to git gud instantly because I'd be bullied all game and given some ridiculously cruel messages. Eventually, when you get good, the survivors stop being toxic, because you match them, and you can be toxic back.
I barely face toxicity because I can seriously scare the survivors into taking me seriously, which I'm sure most killer mains on the forums can. But that doesn't mean toxicity is not there, they just target baby killers.
But at that, some people are more toxic to good killers out of salt, if a killer dominates them, or tunnels them, they are ridiculously toxic. Once I had a Claudette trying to be toxic by clicking at me back when I was a good Billy, but looked like a baby Billy and I just demolished her in 15 seconds and nodded back then she realised I'm good and stopped being toxic. Then I killed her quickly, because she kept trying to flashlight save. Long story short, she waited 11 minutes just to ask me why I was toxic and called me a bunch of swearwords and I started laughing so hard.
But yeah, survivors are more toxic generally. But killers can still be toxic.

I play both sides and i don't find it too bad as killer, but that's partly cuz i go out of my way to play as 'fair' as possible. I will get annoyed though if i'm face camped as survivor, but when i'm survivor im usually more annoyed at my team than the killer

I just started the game so my killers have just one perk at level 1, I don't know the maps, tricks, powers, etc., up against 4 survivors all with level 3 perks with all the teachables they want so they escape easily. Do I get a bunch of EZ comments at the end of the match even though it's obvious I'm a newbie? Of course I do and much more.
Survivor mains obviously don't want any new killer players in the game.

I’m absolutely sure that any player who won’t or doesn’t see how it’s SURVIVORS who are generally the nasty players (and have too much power) are either:
a) survivor players with minimal to no killer experience - and if they did play killer it was only a handful of times at rank 20 - a false impression indeed.
b) the toxic survivors who make this game and community a worse place.
There are absolutely toxic killers out there! But I guarantee they’re not nearly as common nor as bad as survivors. At least a toxic killer will put you out of your misery, even if they are mean.

Yeah, there's salt from both sides. I play both 50/50 and I understand getting salt from both at this point I just tend to ignore it, it's whatever.

Survivors want you to play by their rules. Their own made up gentleman's rules.
It's made up and BS.
I play however I want. I play to win. They've already nerfed the crap out of slugging, made hook rescues even quicker and you always have SWF that can hurt a killer.
If I'm able to hunt down the unhooked person easily... yeah I do it.
Is it tunnelling? Not really. DS counters this. If I camp, I'm not going to pip more than likely.
Survivors play the victim card and act like things are completely in the killer's favor. More made up BS. If a killer is camping hardcore, 2 or 3 of you clowns don't need to be off gens and around the hook.
Maybe 1 person, 2 others on gens. If done right... 2 or 3 gens can be traded for a survivor's death on a camping killer.
He'll safety pip or depipped, but 1 person's fun was ruined. Okay? So what? It happens to me too, but I move on.

Squadettes with flashlights told me to not bring Franklin's Demise, guess what, I did, I killed all of them and they accused me of Lag Switch.

This whole community sucks horribly. Survivors are toxic or crying foul in 70% of the matches. Killers are head-nodding campers and tunnelers in 70% of survivor matches I play.
The devs/community managers let too much slide for too long. The game is filled with azzhats now and you either ignore them or move on. I miss games with small communities that were decent people. Yes, they existed. I played in several of them.

What rank are you? From what I've noticed, the lower ranks (12-9) are better with toxicity. A lot of rank 15s aren't actually rank 15 if you catch my drift. Their whole goal is to troll and pick on newer killers.

Running ANY combination of perks is valid. Feel free to criticize as you have, I just don't understand this unwritten rule that IF a killer has specific perks, win/lose, it somehow diminishes the results.
Going skydiving? Want a reserve chute? No, really, don't want it huh? Okay, go get em tiger!

Noed and ruin isn't dirty. Ruin is garbage against good players and Noed is making the killer use 3 perks for the entire game with a chance of it not even going online and could still get shut down right as endgame starts.

Yesterday as I was live streaming I was playing Jump Scare Dr. so no shock Dr. for those who don't know what that is. Rolling the dice on the map I got Torment Creek which isn't great as its so wide and open, but I went ahead and played anyway. Because I screwed up when I was in the lobby and didn't pay attention to my perks I was using the following:
Overwhelming, Overcharge, MaA, Franklin's
Addons were 2 Calm addons to reduce my TR One yellow and One Brown, and I brought BPS.
Realizing I had forgotten to change some of my perks I decided to roll with it. At the end of the game 2 Gens were still up and all 4 survivors had been 3 hooked. So I ended with a double pip. As with every game instead of saying GG due to the nature of my streaming channel I said "A good hunt all" instead of getting a GG back I get told how I was toxic. Really? 3 hooks on all 4 survivors, no tunnel at all every hook was someone different, I left the area completely each time and yet I was toxic cause I had 0 TR and didn't drive the player insane at all? And this wasn't just the only time it happened to me. I get told all the time because I go for 3 hooks with no tunnel that I am either crap and should uninstall or that I was trash and toxic and that I'm getting reported. Well bad news kids I have it on stream that isn't true. Of course then I get the little kids who run to my channel to spam the N word after the match or attack me, thankfully I have a small team of moderators who will ban them from the stream.

Being a killer main since 2016 I have to say that the survivors are way worse; they want to argue, complain, cry, ######### n moan, accuse, yada yada yada and it has not changed. Sure there are some bad apple killers but they usually just say their salty comment and then leave.
I still remember how back in the day the devs used to cater and only buff survivors and nerf killers to the complete ground. Hell. They even nerfed Freddy into the ground only A WEEK after his release due to all the cries from the survivor side. It was honestly horrendous and downright pathetic with how much more the survivors were catered to over us killers then. I even remember when the devs quote and quote 'accidentally' reduced the size of Trapper's traps.
Anyhow. To me, the toxicity originates from the survivor side and from the years of playing this game, most of the salty comments from salty/toxic killers always have something to do with a past match that was sparked from a toxic group of survivors. And what's funny, lots of the old killer mains I used to see back in the day either changed to survivor mains or just downright quit due to how bad it got and lots of the toxic killers I've seen lately used to be toxic survs I've versed. Has no one else noticed this cycle? It's like watching a toxicity recycling plant in motion. It's quite fascinating tbh.

@AsheruSwiftwind You totally summed up a bunch of my games. Ive had the N-word dropped on me so many times in post game chat, i almost kind of expect it now. I am to the point where i dont say anything at the end of the game, even GG, bc it just eggs them on.
