Survivors need more BP

Hey guys so I was wondering for a long time and how survivors get very little to no BP during matches. The killer can easily get Bp without even getting two kills and get More Bp than an escaped survivors could. I feel like one of the reasons why survivors get very little amount of bP is because they have have to fight for their BP compared to killer where there is only one killer and it’s not like any other player can take your Bp opportunities away from you. Another reason why survivors get Low amounts is because of the survival category. Boldness, Altruism, and objective actions are somewhat easy to perform compared to the survival category where it’s extremely limited. I came up with this good idea (I think and I wanna know your opinions!)

the new action Will be called “Survived for now” and grants 100 survival points. This action/event will happen every-time a generator is completed. This way, survivors are rewarded for being alive and give them more chances to complete The survival category.

the other action will be called “Survived for Now: Finale” The action/event will give the survivor 200 survival points and is given to them once the last gen is done.

lastly, I feel like every action a survivors does, they should be rewarded 25 survival points since every action they do does count toward their survival so wouldn’t it make sense to give them more points for the survival category. Actions include: Fully repairing a gen, fully healing someone or yourself, unhooking someone, unhooking yourself, chest search, totem cleanse, so basically anything that requires time to completed. Once the finale or endgame collapse starts, the bonus becomes 50 instead of 25.

    Survivor:

    • Unlock all perks.
    • lvl up 1 survivor for all perks

    Killer:

    • Unlock all perks
    • lvl up 15 killers for all perks
    • lvl up all killers for good addons


    Survivors can play with all perks and all perk builds,

    if they max 1 survivor.

    Killers can play with all perks and all perk builds,

    if they max all killers.

    And then spend more bloodpoints for addons.

    Well ... true, but still.

    I as killer main would like to play a bit more often survivors. What is keeping me from doing that is the ridiculous low amount of blood points you get from it.

    I have maxed out two survivors and 5 killers, but I gain the bloodpoints for maxin out survivors from my killer games.

    I agree that survivors should get more blood points.

    But I also think it is an issue of balacing the killer to survivor ratio. I am not sure how the players are spread over killer and survivor games. But you need 4 survivors and 1 killer. And if more BP for survivors would make a lot of killer play some more survivor games, there might be a bottle neck, am I right?

    Yea, I'm with the closet week, killers gain more bp because they need it.

    Well, a 100 points extra, if you make it through the game, may be worth it. So survivors get a little more points at least. I think that's a good idea, to reward them for staying alive while the game progesses.

    The 25 / 50 points spread across categories that are difficult to achieve and are given for every action are not a so good idea I think. It sounds a bit like "if they do something usefull, every category should be filled up at least half". But you are seemingly not meant to do just "anything". When you already did 2 gens, you are supposed to unhook and heal other survivors.

    I am not sure how the mechanic is meant to work, I dont like it either. But I thnik if someone is good at hitting great skill checks and does all the gens, while someone else is good at looping and does all the chases, always triggering the killer, both dont get full points. So survivors should not specialize in tasks, they should do everything a bit.

    A good looper, so to say, has also to do some gens for good bp, not just looping all the time.

    I cannot say if this principle is good at all, or if that's even what the devs ment to implement. But rewarding a bit in cross-categories for any event / action sounds wrong to me. But I like the sharing of points for poping gens idea.

    The disparity in point cost is irrelevant as blood points are account wide, you can earn points on killer and spend them on survivor or earn points on survivor and spend them on killer, for that reason it makes no sense for it to take more work to get the same amount of points for the different sides.

    ?!? What are you guys talking about?

    It ofcourse doesnt matter with which side you earned your bp. But survivor main players somehow get punished for playing survivor by getting very few bp. They want to play survivor, so why forcing them to play killer to be able to level their survivors??

    That only makes sense, if there were to few killer players, and you make enough people play killer by rewarding them with bp for doing it.

    If survs and killers start with 10.000 BP, the number of DC will be reduced drastically. Now, if you're down at the beginning you have nothing to lose

    Survival category does need tweaks so actions in game reward for whole play as opposed to just getting 5000 for escaping.

    You could reduce escape points by 2000 and be able to earn points by completing an action in game. So escaping isnt the be all end all big point bonus. Basic bp increases on all actions I would welcome as well.

    To address some comment on killer bp demand being higher. The argument is kinda rendered mute considering a killer can pour there points into a survivour. With how much more effective bbq is vs wglf this exasperates the problem.

    I do think that some survivour items do need to be toned down ie instas and keys to compensate for this as the survivour bp gain is built recognising the difficulty in farming bp for these items.

    There a reson double bp event are not so common and its down to the power level of some killer add ons and a lot of survivour items just having crazy powerful effects.

    None of these items need to be removed just nerfed that there designed for clutch play. Remeber when making changes to the economy you need to remeber the games balance is built around the existing bp economy.
