Hi everyone. I would like to share with some ideas. Hope, devs will reade this. My English is not perfect, so sorry for that.
Recently my friend (with whom i used to play DBD) gave up playing the game as there is no new content (we are not talking about skins, maps, killers) - the thing is that everything remains the same in general, we just get new killers, survivers, maps, perks time by time. That's it.
1, So first of all I recommend to add new modes on permanent basis. F.e. You may make seperately:
- normal mode (the one that is used to be played now);
- draft mode (same as normal, but adding a possibility to ban up to 3 killers and surves - in such cases 1 rank players can enjoy playing the game on high ranks without everygame Nurses or Billy; at same time killers will enjoy the game by banning invisible P3 Claudettes);
- ranking mode (the mode with ranking up - also would be nice to add different prizes for achieving high ranks like skins, blood points, rainbow shards, etc. as now there is no sense to get high rank because it is not rewarded);
- event mode(s) (so that people can play some interesting events any time; when new event appears some players don't care about it and want to play regular mode, so would be nice to seperate event mode and normal mode;
- 2 vs 8 (such mode is already used in Identity Y - similar game to DBD for mobiles).
- totally different, new modes with new objectives - not like only repairing gens, opening gates and exiting: f.e. the objectives can be finding different parts to build the helicopter (car/train etc.), then build it and exit by this venicle, or finding the phone and call police to come (like in Friday 13th), or collecting something. Probably, there shall be a mode in which survivers may have a chanse to kill the killer somehow. Maybe there can be some logical modes like Dota Chess in DOTA;
- Scenario/campaign mode for each character with obtaining rare skin for him/her with adding new seria of skins like Dark Skins or Death skins (like there are black/death skins for some characters in Identity V). So each surviver and killer can have its own full black skin;
- Killer survival mode with opposite objective for killer, 1 vs 4: there are few houses on the map, killer starts a game and has to chose 1 house, settle it as his bunker by setting traps, barricading windows, doors. Killer can fake a bunker, f.e. he can set eveything in 1 house but hide in another. Heartbeat is reversed - surves will have it, but killer will not. As well as a red light in front. Camera view also shall be reverted, killer - third person view, surves - first person view. The objective of surves is to search for items through the whole map with different weapons, scrap, shovel, C4 little bombs etc., then to find killer and kill him. So at start of game surves search for weapons, killer hides, settles his bunker.
- Cooperative vs AI. Where you can chose to play as killer or surv to practise more or to test something solo (or with other players) when you dont have friend to play with in Killing friends mode and you want to try something on bots.
2, Totally new items for surves: antidote (vs clowns bottles, plagues poison), shields, weapons, etc. Would be nice to get totally new idea items like traps, so surves can also use traps vs killers (1 trap for the game that works only once), a tool that creates a pallet on a chosen place (1-2 pallet per game) or a tool that recovers a pallet that was already broken by killer. A signal rocket pistol that can be used once in a game (kinda like a firecracker): you can shot it in the direction where your character looks within like 20 meters, if you hit a killer, you stun him.
3, When you chose a killer, you make a choise due to its personal skills, abilities, but when you chose a surviver to play, you chose by appearance, SO i would recommend to make a passive skills/perks for each surviver (f.e.: Meg - running speed +3%, Claudette - healing speed +15%, Jake - Sabotaging speed +10%, David - hang on hook time +20%, Nea - crouching speed +10%, Bill - unhooking speed +15%, Laurie - killer's stunning time +1 sec, Tapp - killers flashlight blind +0.5 sec, etc.), so people's choise of picking the surv would be based on skills but not appearance. Also there shall be a MUSTHAVE passive perks, skills that counter killers by surves. What I mean is... if u pick Laurie Stoud and you play vs Mayers, you don't get any advantage of it and this is totally wrong. I would say that each surve shall a passive counter-perk vs certain killers. So when you play surviver it will be honest to have some bonuses when you pick Laurie and play vs Mayers, Tapp vs Pig, Feng vs Doctor. So as an idea there shall be a HUGE bonuses: Mayers stalking time vs Laurie is increased by 20%, Pig cannot set a trap on Tapp, Doctor's shock therapies don't make Feng scream or show her aura when level of madness is increased, Plague's infecting time to broken stance vs Jane +30-50%, etc. So the idea is that certain survives SHALL NECESSARILY counter certain killers. Also there could be added some additional passives for evey one that can counter nurse or billy because it is a total crap when you rank up to 1-3 rank and you play only vs billy or nurse - seems like high ranks don't know how to play other killers. BTW such killers are very often the reason why survs DC at early start of game. Personally I don't want to play vs such killers on high ranks, as it is also impossible to dodge their hits, and no fun is there...
Also it would be nice if each surv had his/her own rare, unique active skill.
4, Returning to the game of legacy (lava) skins for each killer and surv, as they are cool, there are a lot of players who started playing DBD when legacy skins were already unavailible to get and it seems to be unfair. So you may add them again with really hard conditions to get it f.e. for each surviver - survive 5000 times to get 1 part of legacy set (then 10000 and 15000), for killers - kill 10000 surves to get 1 part of legacy set or to use successfully its ability ***** times.
5, Improving daily quests by adding week and even month quests with higher rewards. As an example - the game Killing Fllor 2. They have daily 3 quests (I would say 1 daily quest is not enough, would be great to get 3 daily quests that don't stack, each day quests are changed for new and quests from yeasterday don't remain). Week quests and month quests - more things to do with more rewards because when you play day by day and have no stimulus, motivation and so on, there is not much exitement to play, play, and play. Game appears to be boring while playing for long time, so there shall be more quests.
6, Adding real new type of maps as now they are all similar as well as there are a lot of Farm, Macmillans maps. As an idea of envirement you may add maps: (night) Desert, Ship, Scaceship, Parking, Skyscraper. Adding to that would be great to have besides random map for each game a random weather condition (with a possibility to control it by offerings): Sun, Moon, Snow, Rain. Besides just the weather, it would be great if f.e. when it is snowy map, then there shall be snow falling and a lot of snow is on the ground so Trapper's traps cannot be seen in snow. Same with rains and puddle. Also shall be changed the sounds when spetting on snow or water. Another idea is to add some water places on maps like ponds, swimming pools with regulating speed of surves anbd killers while in water (swimming speed) f.e. when playing a surv, his movement speed in water in decreased but his exhastion recovery time is also decreased.
7, Making some hidden random places, spots like in Stalker game. F.e. how it can be realised on DBD maps: somewhere in hidden dark or corner places there can be a piece of meat hidden; if a surv finds it, then takes to the barrel with fire and sits near it for 5 secs, then the meat is ready, surv may use it to insta heal himself. Or there can be hidden an Armor that is worn and gives a surv a chanse to avoid any 1 hit (like menttle of a man perk) - if it is normal attack, then surv doesn't get first hit, if it is chainsaw, then surv becamens injured and gets a sprintburst like from regular M1 hit.
8, adding doors and windows into a game with a possibility of survivers to open/close windows and open/close/barricade doors and for killer to open/close/destroy windows/doors. That will add new gamestyles both for killers and surves. Surves can close all winwows on map, barricade all doors, so it will be harder for killer to find surves, and killer can break all windows and doors from the start of game so surves cannot close or barricade them.
9, As an option new additional items can be added for killers (so any killer can take it into a game besides his personal skills, perks, offerings and addons). F.e. nails or spikes that killer can set on any window, and if a surv vaults through such 'trapped' window, he/she becomes injured; bottle of glue that killer can pour out onto he floor at any place only once a game and each surve that steps on that glued area gets reduced movement speed for 1-2 secs.
10, Improving the ingame shop. Would be great to add something new to shop like blood points+rainbow shards boosters or premium account for week/month to get more points. It will help new players to get needed perks on charachters quicker and existing players to improve your character. F.e. It is not cool, when your killer rank is like 1-8, you buy new killer but dont have enough BP to level up him with perks. And on practise you have to play as killer with few 1-2 lvl perks (for most part useless perks) vs surves that are P3 with 4 high-tier perks of 3 lvl like selfcare, sprint/dead hard, DS, menttle of man, etc. Finally these high-rank surves just easily loop and ######### killer being very self-confident and T-bagging on each pallet as baby killers with low tier, low level useless perks, with brown addons and useless offerings just cannot properly do thair job. I am not saying about just all killers, but some of them, as some killers like nurse don't even need addons or perks. But if it is a slow movement speed killer, that is not tall (like hag, pig, legion) and the killer isn't using anything, then surves will just loop him like a baby. I tired to play Plague with no addons and her 3 own perks just to try how it is on like 10th rank and and it took ages to get surves into broken stance, and this killer is kinda slow. I could kill unexperienced surves, but experienced players knew how to play vs Plague and looped me like a baby killarino. So some BP boosters are needed.
11, Something shall be done to matchmaking system. Very often when i am like 5-8 rank as surv, i am versing the 3rd rank nurses or billy, so #########? Red ranks shall play vs red ranks, not purple, it is not OK. Also something shall be done to up-leveling ranks. I am not a really good player even though i am playing a lot of time in DBD, a lot of time I escape as surv and rank up quicky BUT i dont want to rank up. I dont want to play vs pro billy or nurses on high ranks, vs whom my 360 are useless, my tries to stealth are useless, my jukes and mindgames are useless and any game styles are useless. It is fun to play vs players of same level of playing as mine. It is fun when you can trick, juke a killer (what doesn't work vs high-ranked). And as a result time by time I have to DC because just can't do anything vs high-ranked killers and feel like a free meet for them. So i would recommend to make such a system for surves that you rank up quickly when your "bravery" category is always full, but when it is low, then u rank up slower. As anyone can repair gens, do objectives, heal teammates and it is easy to rank up for surv. Also i would recommend to make something with matchmaking not only by ranks, but on hours played, or account lvl. Sometimes it happens like a new player 20 rank starts a game, and he is versing players who have lots of hours played, legacy skins, etc. with same 20 rank just because this person haven't played like for 2 months. And this legacy guy will loop or kill the newbie with no perks like a baby.
So to sum up, what i want to say buy this proposals: you (devs) shall add more content. By content I mean not only killers, surves, maps, but totally new content - modes, possibilities, achievements with rewards and different stuff that will make a lot of people start playing DBD or not loosing an interest to play it more. I understand that it is a unique genre and type of game comparing to others and it is gard to create something new, exiting and unique that can fit the game and get new players, but still it is possible. I know that you listen to players wills, wishes and you communicate with them, so I want you to hear me, use some of my ideas, tips for future. I liked DBD and want this game to develop not only by adding new killers, surves and map, as it becomes boring, but by adding something totally new, different with lots of possible modes that can only be, so that a lot of new people would start the game and find a mode that is interesting for him or her. Because now we have no choise to play only 1 mode (not talking about killer friends as it is kinda testing mode).
