Idea on how to Balance MoM...
So today I had an idea and I wanted to put it out there. Killers clearly aren't a fan of MoM so what is a way to fix it without nerfing it into the ground. While thinking of how to do this I came up with the following idea. MoM makes you 100% immune to effects such as Franklin's, on hit effects and gaining stacks of buffs like play with your food or save the best for last. So just make it fair to the killers and remove the speed boost you get when you proc MoM, the killer will still wipe the weapon so you will have time to get away but it would mean you don't get a full get out of jail free card. Please keep this post civil as its simply a suggestion and if you think its good let me know if not let me know why not as well but no need to get rude about it.

Delete it. It's not a nerf if it doesn't exist.

Just remove this perk.

Fire + Mettle= LETS WATCH THE PERK BURN!!

Ah, so you nerf it by having it counter a bunch of Killer perks for free and increasing its usefulness against Killers that hard counter it, while still momentarily freezing the Killer in place...
Makes sense.

What are you talking about if you dont get the speed boost for free that is a nerf. So glad your not in charge of balance.

No thanks its fine the way it is

Its not fine

Im a bit confused. You mentioned "Keeping the speed boost". Do you intend to keep the immunity for hits? If not, why specify that?
But, anyway, if they changed MoM's effect to what you are suggesting, you will have to remove the Obsession status from it. For instance, STBFL, as the Obsession, it is better to get hit by the Killer as you make them lose stacks. And with PWYF or Remember Me, you just made the ENTIRE perk impossible to make use of as Killer (unless you make it like Distortion and make it have tokens).

You know the speed boost you get when a killer hits you. That should be removed from the perk. You are immune to other effects so you should not get the speed boost of being hit.

Making a perk useless 101.

Explain how it makes it useless? The killer still has to wipe the weapon so they still have time to get away. That or make it so killer effects apply when you get MoM such as Franklin's, stacks of debuffs and other such addons killers bring.

Without the speed boost you likely wouldn’t make it far plus stbfl would hard counter it.

But thats the idea and not eveyone runs stbfl. Its a way to balance it without nerfing it into the ground or removing it like most killers want

“But thats the idea”
I said you likely wouldn’t make it far. Tell me again how you’re balancing it.

It is balanced to take away the speed boost. You still get the immunity to effects and you still get the free hit that dont down you. You cant have the ability make you 100% immune and have no down side. Thats why killers complain about it and take away the speed boost would balance it out. You can still get away just not as far. Killers still have to wipe the weapon.

You wouldn’t make it far at all. This isn’t balancing this is making it useless.

A user made this thread, quite a good rework idea. I'd recommend checking it out.

No way in hell every 2 hits and the BS resets. That isnt a nerf thats a god damn buff.

I believe you would have to bodyblock.

Stfu about this perk already.
There's way more problems in this game that need to be dealt with over 1 perk.
Jesus, it's not even game breaking. If you let a survivor go an entire game without getting hit, hooked or even allowed them to make it to the end of the game with the perk still active... Then it's your fault.
Stop whining and play better.

@AsheruSwiftwind it can be prevented, by dropping the survivor. It's a rework to keep it just as strong, but with obvious counterplay.
