Why. It seems more bland to me

From a technical side, there's been a lot of changes to the game including multiple engine updates. Among other things, they affect how the lighting works. While we could try to get something similar, it's not quite as simple as flipping a switch and putting the old one back in. The real question is whether or not that would be worthwhile, since some like the old one and some like the new one. At the moment, we don't have any plans on changing it back.
