how about when EGC starts the sun starts rising on the map you are playing on and right as the timer runs out and you die it is daylight ...make it a literal title that makes sense with the gameplay :)

Honestly, that would actually make sense lorewise, and would look possibly cool ontop of that. Why did the developers not think of that?

That's cool. Would make hiding around in dark places a little harder.
But how would they handle indoors maps?

Simply flag those maps to not have that effect (except within exit gates)

If I have understood anything about the lore and conditions in which the survivors are in, daylight never actually comes, they always end up next to the campfire at night until the next trial begins
