I’m seeing a lot of complaints with the end game collapse with the RNG of exit gates locations and I agree with it. Also I feel like gens aren’t as important anymore since the last survivor can just get out regardless of how many are done. Highly improbable but here’s my idea to help solve both.

Matches start with only ONE exit gate spawned/visible. The 2nd exit gate will still spawn/be visible/usable when the gates are powered but when and by how far apart depends on how many generators are done with a minimum distance (like hooks/chests/totems have).

If all 5 gens are remaining when the exit gates are powered, the 2nd exit gate can spawn anywhere on the map with its current minimum distance like it is live. For each gen that gets completed in the match, the minimum distance the 2nd exit will spawn away from the 1st gate goes up by X meters.

Could be 12 meters or 24 or whatever. Those who know the actual sizes of the maps would be better at choosing numbers than me and maybe the number changes depending on the map’s size. But basically the more gens the survivors do, the better their odds of surviving the end game are even if the exit gates are powered by the hatch closing. Plus maybe Left Behind can then be used by a solo survivor to generate an advantage while the killer looks for the hatch.


Thoughts? To me the biggest issue/hurdle with this is just the strain on the game/programming for having to generate the assets for an exit gate mid-match and tracking where it could be. This wouldn’t be the first time an asset is added to the game outside after the loading screen (opening a chest or turning a dull totem to a hex totem (NOED)) but would certainly be the biggest.
