These sound bugs....
It's hard to play this game when the sound bugs are so rampant, and easily exploitable. A good example of this is the chase music being to loud. When you combine this with cornfields, you cant see or hear the survivor during the chase. So it's no wonder I keep seeing the heart locket offering in most of my games now.
Then there's the hag going deaf for about a second every time she puts a trap down. I've missed sound ques from perks because of this glitch.
Let's try and keep a list going of sound glitches. If we are lucky, they will get fixed. (they fixed the Spies sound glitch, i think.)
What sound bugs do you want the staff to address?
edit:
Hooks make squishy noises
Survivor sounds are quieter in general.
EGC noises are sometimes to loud.
You can set off your own Spies from the Shadows perk, keeping it on cooldown, and useless.
Edit: there are a lot more then i thought. So i'm not going to try and keep this OP up to date. However, this thread is a great source for the devs

Forgot the footsteps.

@Poweas That's incorporated in survivor sounds in general, being quieter.

@SmokePotion oh thanks!

I just got another one btw, ghost breathing. I heard survivors right behind me just in this game, and I spent the whole game distracted by it when there was nobody.

In foundry if survival is above you and you managed to hear him it sounds like he is staying next to you.

It's really bad on Spirit when phasing. If the survivor is inside any building, there's really no sound occlusion at all since the update. Very hard to tell sometimes when a survivor entered a structure because scratch marks are still jacked up.

The chase music is WORSE for the survivor, you literally cannot hear anything over it

The dc bug where the noise keeps going.

Generators sound wonky, like only one valve is active, even if it is at 90%.

footsteps are too quiet... getting blinded literally means i need to predict the survivors path and will lose them if i didnt guess right...

Spirit: Her whooshing sound does not always play when it should.

Please fix the sounds for the next update :(

I remember when Mount Ormond was released you could hear the creaking of the hooks as survivors moved on them. I really liked that. I don't know if its a sound bug or if they just got rid of it.
I know its not a game-breaking issue, I just thought it was atmospheric.

I got told when I playing Legion the other day and using the Irry Button that the sound when your using FF is extremely loud. Don't know if anyone has had this or not.

Same for killers. One issue survivors have it worse is the out of TR injured music volume. Makes playing with No Mither unbearable with headphones.

The Hurt-/Dying-State music is too loud!
Cant really listen to my audio book, when I'm hurt/lying on the ground :/

Another thing I've noticed on multiple trials as Spirit (already made a bug report): survivors are randomly gaining Iron Will in the middle of some matches.

Right?... you can be standing right next to an injured survivor without IW while in phase and not hear a thing sometimes...

The Spirit has massssssive inconsistencies when it comes to audio while using Phase Walk. I like playing her, but hearing a survivor right in front of me, and then ending the phasing only to find they're actually 8-12 meters ahead of me kills all interest in playing her.

It's concerning that this seems to get zero acknowledgment. Like, did you guys JUST take this to the team as a bug? It's been months.

As killer, you sometimes hear grunts of people who have already died when close to those used hooks

I love when a survivor doesn't have Iron Will, but I can phase directly on top of them and not hear their injured grunts of pain. Or I can't find a slugged survivor on the ground on Sanctum of Wrath (I wanted to give him the hatch, but instead he bled out).
I don't know why I'm even trying to use audio. For a few months I played 90% of my games without audio, and it didn't make much of a difference. I come back from a few weeks of traveling and am having trouble focusing and tracking survivors, but trying to use audio is pointless because sound is providing no help whatsoever. I only played a handful of matches (not hyperbole, I'm sad at how little BP I made, I barely got a few Bloodwebs on Yui) during the Bloodhunt because it doesn't feel worth trying to play the game in this state. I could meme around, sure, but that doesn't earn much BP.

I like how this is from May but still relevant.

I didn't even realize it was 7 months old because all of the issues are still the same!
