Happy with Legion's changes (Killer perspective)
Just thought I would give more feedback on the changes made to legion. I've pretty much been a legion main since I got them, I can honestly say that I was expecting the worst with these updates.
BUT I actually like whats been done with him. 👌
Pros:
- I don't have to spend forever smacking people and chasing them to down them. Previously if I chaise someone it was almost a guaranteed down, it just took forever. Now its questionable, they can get away if they outplay me, dodge my attacks, etc... But if I do outplay them it doesn't take as long.
- Increased base movement speed feels fantastic. Again, reduces that annoying "run forever with no hope of escape" thing that survivors don't seem to like.
- Frenzy can't be used to down those pesky survivors who are really good at running killers around. This gives survivors with skill a chance. Survivors are happy and that reduces the amount of instant DCs and chat abuse. (People shouldn't be rude and abusive in chat in the first place.... hint hint mods.)
Cons:
- Frenzy as a main killer ability seems a bit under powered now, there are some games where I find myself only using it like one time. Especially if survivors running around me like maniacs. I already know where two people are and the rest are already injured... no need to use it at all.
- Reduced overall bloodpoints unless I intentionally put a lot of effort into ensuring max bloodpoint gains. Smacking people constantly with frenzy racked up bloodpoints FAST for both me and the survivors. The survivors in particular seem to be getting a lot less BP now. I'm not entirely sure how survivors are dealing with these changes and how that's resulting in less BP, but it probably has something to do with less mending and healing.
For now that's all I can really think of. For some reason I have yet to play against a Legion as a survivor even though I've been playing both pretty equally?? So no feedback from survivor perspective unfortunately.

Okay, first, using Frenzy to down people instead of being able to actually catch them was the problem with Legion. There was no counterplay. As a Survivor, no matter what you did, Legion would down you eventually and without using any actual skill. Admittedly using Feral Frenzy was promoted because of the 110% movement speed, but it was a problem nonetheless. The option now is mindgaming. The survivor is already injured if you did your job right as Legion, so you basically have permanent exposed in the Chase.
Secondly, use Feral Frenzy on injured survivors. It wastes their time because they have to mend, replenishes your gauge so you can catch someone else further away, and gives you a real time locaction of every one around you so you can stop them from healing, doing gens, or prepare for a hook save. Using Feral Frenzy on injured survivors would likely also boost your bloodpoints to the intended amount.
I agree with the rest of what you said.

My biggest gripe right now is the fatigue time. It's faster to get them to hit you with a pallet to knock you out of it.

@Navydivea ye! That's why i try to bait to get stunned with Enduring (and maybe Spirit Fury and continue the chase normally).
They will probably learn that i can't actually down them if im still in FF tho and stop dropping the pallet :d

A rank 1 killer I watch, Farmer John, uses that set up so it seems to work.

They ALWAYS still try to stun me. Greedy for those points lmao.
