Chapter: Cold and Alone

Map: The Mountain, a multi layer map with caves, winding paths, and plenty of flora.

Killer: The Adventurer

Mori: Hushes a shivering struggling survivor before lighting them on fire.

Power: Of Frost and Flame, her chilling touch and a small flame she hurls at survivors to warm them, she can switch between dualities by tapping the power button.  The nature her powers mean that she has no lunge as she must be close to grasp at them but does have her ranged to switch to.

Lore: In life she was adventurous. She always wanted to explore. Previously she had partners but they never could keep up with her brisk pace and sharp personality, and so she left them. She claimed she didn’t need them to come along, that she’d be fine alone. How wrong she was. On her latest and last adventure she decide to climb the tallest mountain in the world. Determined to do it herself to prove she really needed no one, she went alone. Alone on the trek up after refusing help from many, she carried her gear each day until she could walk no more and would set up for the night. One day she hiked and tried to set up for camp. However a storm set in blowing away an unstable tent and obscuring what she thought she had left from view. With only what was directly on her she looked desperately for a place to hide from the spreading darkness and storm. Only hours later did she find a cave to stay in.  Entering the cave she tripped, arms near frozen through, one shattered at the wrist. Seeing the pieces clatter and unable to feel it, she still screamed, realizing now she really did need warmth before she died. She truly regretted coming up alone. Shoving her hand and nub in pockets in a desperate attempt, she remembered something. Her matches, she always kept them on her, fire and smoke being a savior many times. No longer thinking of it as a savior, she pawed at where it would be until the matchbox tumbled out. Frozen hand attempting to maneuver them, she nearly ran out. One last match, the last chance for warmth. Mind already made she drops the match down the front of her jacket, atleast she could be warm once more.

Perks

Searching for Warmth

Noisy actions such as failing skill checks, speed vaults and locker exits will now reveal auras for 2/3/5 seconds.

“What’s that noise? Another person?”

I’m Fine Alone

Repairing with or healing others, makes skill checks moderately/considerably/tremendously harder.

“I don’t need you”

Hex: Cold Realm

When gates are powered an unlit totem lights. Cold Realm chills the survivors making them shiver and fumble. All action speed is reduced by 10%/15%/20%.   “Don’t leave me now…”

Survivor: Dakota Sharle

Lore: Dakota was just doing their job, it should’ve just been another day of search and rescue. This time they were looking for a missing woman on the mountain, they knew it would be futile but they still had to make an attempt for the sake of the public. Once people went missing on the mountain they were very rarely seen again and if they were it’d just be their frozen corpse. Dakota dearly hoped they wouldn’t ever become one of the frozen, but they knew there were risks with their profession. Halfway up hearing a scream through the frost and fog, they began to rush to it not ever noticing the unstable edge they stumbled onto. Not until it started falling that is. Others on the mountain claimed to never have seen their body hit the ground with the ledge.

Perks

Search

Unlimited range when a survivor does an action (saves, vaults, pallets, ect.) they are revealed to Dakota for 2/3/5 seconds. Speed actions are highlighted in white rather than red.

“I promise atleast you’ll make it”

Rescue

Dakota can pick up downed or injured survivors at the cost of movement speed by 20/10/5% and the ability to crouch. Walking while carrying the other survivor does not leave pools of blood. Running with the survivor leaves pools of blood however there aren’t scratch marks. Sound is always still there. The other survivor can wiggle while being carried by Dakota however this will slow them and will not change their previous state if they get off.

“We are getting out of here, I promise”

Emergency First Aid

Within the killers terror radius Dakota heals 25/50/75% faster

I don’t have time to waste doing fancy wrappings, we have to go”
