I just rewatched Scream 1
Besides realizing that half the point of Ghostface's outfit was that it was a simple costume that could be bought anywhere. I noticed Ghostface cleans the blood off of his knife in the movie different then the animations we have.
In the movies he shows the flat of the bloody blade to his victim before cleaning it between his gloved thumb and forefinger. He does this twice in the first movie.
In the DBD the knife blade is sideways (flatways) so the action is obscured.
The reason I point this out is that Ghostface is cleaning his blade on purpose, to cause more fear in his victim. He wants them to see the action. It's a small correction, but it would help the feel of the killer.
What does everyone think? They did a good job with the raised knife animation. So i feel like they rewatched the movies. Should @not_Queen tap the devs on the shoulder?

The devs do not comment on leaks. So you wont get an answer sadly.

did you notice the school janitor was also wearing a freddy hat sweater and was named fred?

That'd be cool, especially if the devs animated it in such a way that the blood was visibly wiping away, but left a dramatic smear.

Wait is this a actual thing? I totally want to see this.

Isn’t the dbd animation a replica of Stu stabbing Billy in the bedroom?

Jason also makes an appearance as the janitor. He's really smart and stuff.

@EqMonkVeeshan He has the sweater on too, right before the principal was killed.

That is such a minor detail in DBD that I did not even notice the knife was flat. It really doesn't matter though, I'm just happy they gave him the animation at all. Also, his mori iS VERY similar to the scene in the first movie where he gets on top of Sidney, and slowly raises the knife over his head, before she kicked him off, so clearly the Ghostface in DBD is based on the movie version, not to mention the leaked perk 'simple formula', a famous line from the first movie as well. One more thing, the knife he uses in DBD is the correct Buck 120 hunting knife used in all the movies. Major kudos to the developers for getting all those details right and into the game.

That's actually the director, Wes Craven, for a bit of extra trivia. He also made Nightmare on Elm Street, of course.
