The Emblem system is a hindrance

There are several major problems with the current system.

Survivor

  1. The current Survivor system promotes competition and not team work. There aren't enough gens to work. People rush the hook for saves so they get theirs putting them selves over team play. Ect, ect.
  2. The current system doesn't allow team dynamics. This problem is 2 fold, both with the emblem system and blood point caps. A team can have dedicated roles, mainly gen jocky, healer, and distraction. With a little coordination in the lobby it only takes seconds to change out perks and items. However this is punished by the current system. If a player runs the killer the entire match he is punished for it. Why? He allowed his team to complete the objectives and escape. Not only will his emblems suffer but those of his teammates since no rescues or healing was done. Not to mention his blood points being capped at 8k despite doing an excellent job.
  3. Evader needs more from stealth and not just chase.

Killer

  1. The main problem here is how little control we have over some of these, mainly being Gatekeeper and for certain killers Malicious. Unless you have a build, or fighting potatoes, to protect gens it's almost guaranteed for 2-3 gens to pop with the first 3 minuets of the game and even then there's not much you can do about it. As for Malicious it's an obvious fix, if they hit you with an insta down it should be 2 points, not 1.
  2. Viability. You have a ranked system and 2, and only 2, killers dominating high ranked. It's boring and unfun.

There's probably other things that I'm missing but I'm tired of typing. For the Survivors I'd say look into the Spacelords format, combining personal and team success into the equation. For the killer I really don't know. I still say bump up gens to 80 seconds though.

Personally, I can only really say something about the Survivor System, because I cannot care less for my Killer Rank.

What I would like to see is that a part of the Emblem Points from one Survivor will be shared with the other Survivors. If a Survivor runs the Killer around for 5 Gens, all what the other Survivors can do is doing Gens. So they max out their Lightbringer Emblem, but will not get really much in Chaser or Benevolence. The guy who ran around the Killer also does not get anything in Lightbringer.

A fixex percentage should go to other Survivors. e.g. if I do an Unhook, I get 100% of this Unhook for my Emblems, while other Survivors will get 10%. Just as an example.

Because right now it is indeed a competition. And as a Survivor, if you have a good team, maybe all of you will not pip. You have to rely on a decent Killer, who is able to down the others and some Potatoes who will get downed and dont do Gens to get their Work and get Unhooks.

On the killer side, the emblems are kinda screwy as well. If you dont stay in chases for a long time for example and are able to end them quickly, your punished for it with a low chaser score. If you down and hook all 4 survivors so they all die on first hook, your punished. You already brought up the instadown problem. I also dont think alot of survivors realize that at the end of the game, when a killer is going sweaty for that 4k. If so much as a single person gets out via hatch, a killer's devout emblem can drop from being Iridescent to silver. 1 hatch can cost me 2 full emblem points.

About point 2, they said that the emblem system will be improved by giving more points for survivor who is chasing the killer, when others repair the gens.

About point 2 in the killer emblem, that is true, but it's not the fault of the emblem but due a balance.
