@KillermainBTWm8 yeah, I picked her up in 2 games, but I'm still learning Spirit.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

@PeepingPeacock in terms of mastering every little kink and getting to a good level.

I take it you mean on the PC? Because I find Spirit much easier than Nurse, but I'm on the PS4.

Depends, at the moment probably yes cuz the sound is bugged and tracking non injured survivors is extremely difficult. But once the sound is fixed, it should be no problem to track someone. Especially not an injured without iron will. Also, she's the only killer who can hit someone by just standing still :P

I personally had much more trouble mastering Nurse than I had issues to do so with spirit (pre sound bugs)

@TragicSolitude I’m on PS4 and imo nurse is easier.

@HavelmomDaS1 I had a really good standing still mindgame. It was a game where I triggered EGC (It was close to them winning tho but I won somehow, my sister held a phone in my phase while I was playing and distracted me XD typical) but a Dwight was left, I was chasing him, he stunned me, and he was injured. He pointed at me but I stood still and he vaulted into me XDDD.

That was a lovely game. The Laurie was so nice after.

Nah, for me Spirit is easy to use, but Nurse is completely black magic.

  • Member Posts: 354

If you want to claim that Spirit takes more game sense to be good with than Nurse you could argue that, but saying Spirit is harder to play on a mechanical level and there's more to master in her power is nonsense.

If you ask people to use Spirits power to get to a specific location in one go 100% of people could do that. If you asked people to blink to a specific spot in one go, not everyone could do that. There is WAY more skill involved in hitting blinks accurately and consistently then there is in moving places while phasing.

@PeepingPeacock oh wait, I meant chasing and pressure wise. It's harder for Spirit to do that.

I just tape cat nip to my mouse and keyboard, go to bed and wake up and my cats earned me a million blood points on Nurse.

    Spirit is t3h Skilz0rz

Survivors playing poorly is why she takes no skill? K.

  • Member Posts: 2,552

Accept it or not, she takes no skill

I knew I was gonna get crap because of this from spirit mains. She is extremely easy to pick up and use. Sorry to offend spirit mains who think that they are God at this game.

  • Member Posts: 7,669

well, Spirit requires you to predict the survivors, listen out for their breath and watch out for your surroundings, which takes quite a lot of skill.

nurse however is all about muscle memory, you gotta learn how far a blink is going to port you, as well as catching up to them within 2 blinks. on top of that, you can not catch up to them without any blinks, so you have to port when you want to catch them. a single messed up blink however can completely ruin the chase and let the survivor get away, as you get stunned afterwards wit ha decreased FoV.

i think Spirit requires more skill, but Nurse requires more muscle memory, therefore more playtime with that character only, which is why it takes longer to learn Nurse than Spirit.

@Delfador accept it or not I’m a 50/50 Claudette/Nurse main, I just know how to play around her (stealth).

Like when you face nurse you’ve gotta adapt.

    theyre both easy

    change my mind

  • Member Posts: 2,552

    I agree to disagree then.

I have my 3/4k consistently with the spirit and the only game I really found her to be difficult was my first game. That's understandable since I didn't even know her power.

Nice to meet another claudette main. I am 50/50 Claudette/spirit main.

At least we can all agree that it's not the case on console.

Spirit is easy if you have a great hearphones, and her addons are OP as fck too...

As a nurse main (everyone know it xD)

    Yep. That's true.

1.The nurse sees the survivors, the Sprit does not.

2.Sprit has huge cooldown, nurse just have little fatigue, and she still track survivor's during fatigue.

3.Sprit can use its power only when it is full.

4.Nurse is flying over objects, spirit does not.

I do not know if the question is more difficult is good, or is simply weaker than the nurse, but in achieving good results is more difficult, much.

Edit:But logically speaking, why do you have to play Spirit if you can play Nurse xD?(PC ofc)

    I don't play either, so I can't.

    Spotted the rank 10

I agree. In terms of skill required to play at a high capacity in rank 1 games I would put the top 3 most required as:

    1. Spirit
    2. Huntress
    3. Nurse

    Just my opinion.

Keep in mind this isn't power level, but simply the skill required to play them at a top level capacity.

Its crazy how so many people think all you need to do as Nurse is having a good muscle memory on your blinks.

This might be true on rank 20-15, but once you hit higher ranks, people will start to use line of sight against you. They will juke at every corner, behind every wall. A chase with or against the Nurse is one big mindgame. The Nurse player needs to know every juke possible at every structure, and needs to watch every individual survivors for their playstyle. Survivors tend to repeat jukes that worked previously. Getting double backed? Chances are they will do it again. Ontop of the mechanical precision required for the Nurse, alot of prediction and experience is required to play her at high level. This is why her skill ceiling is so damn high, because you never stop learning.

@Delfador That’s fair, tbf I can 4K consistently with legion and nurse. The main time I truly struggle is on that boat map and the corn maps (only with nurse).

Been a Claudette main pretty much since when I started.:)

    How about both?

They're both hard to play well.

As a person who spend several hundred hours with a nurse, the only thing difficult for her is lose the match lmao.

  • Member Posts: 7,383

@noneofyourbusiness key words. Several hundreds ;p

  • Member Posts: 7,383

    @noneofyourbusiness imma rephrase it.

Its hard to just pick up either Spirit or Nurse and play really well

  • Member Posts: 2,428

Unrelated to the main point of the thread, but I love when people say that mindgames arent skillful on Spirit, lol.

  • Member Posts: 60

I'll play against a nurse over spirit any day, spirit is incredibly annoying to play against.

  • Member Posts: 1,055

Yeah, that's so true. When I face Nurse players I can really judge the difference of their skill level based on how well they can deal with LoS breakers and predict my movement. I even stunned Nurse players who have no problems with blinking itself. Mostly because I got them blink into a pallet.

I kinda feel like Hag is missing here. I really think she requires more skill than those three in the sense, that her power is not really straight forward as a Nurse blink is or a hatchet throw. Still not sure, if I could make very specific list.

Spirit can vary on difficulty depending on your skill level and playstyle

  • Member Posts: 1,519

all u need to be a decent spirit is a good pair of headphones.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

@Delfador you don't know anything about Spirit if she's easy to pick up. And you don't know anything about Spirit mains if you think we think we're gods at DBD. Honestly, I like you so I won't be aggressive as I feel like being, plus you're an awesome person.

But if you seriously think Spirit is that easy, send me a game of you playing her. I highly doubt you understand her if you think she's easy.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

@Blueberry I agree actually. And fourth would be Hag imo. Smart answer!

  • Member Posts: 831

    How is she hard tho?

Use her power -> follow scratch marks = profit

Yes, sometimes you have to wait on the other side of the pallet, but that isn't so hard, is it?

Mindgames with her are super easy imo.

@popoles it's different to that. Some survivors run Iron will and perks like poised where it's difficult to follow them. Mindgames aren't as simple as standing still, some survivors are really wily and you have to seriously outthink them. Spirit mains/Tru3 make it look a lot easier than it is. In reality, Spirit has so much mechanics you gotta know. I've only learnt about 30% of what you need to know and I'm a rank 3. Although, I'll admit I get little time to play nowadays.

  • Member Posts: 831

I've got 1.500+ hrs in this game, at least 700 as Nurse. There are almost no mindgames that I don't know about.

And iron will? Almost nobody uses this perk, so one guy in 10 matches isn't that great of a deal.

  • Member Posts: 5,873

    @popoles I use Iron will...

And you should try maining Spirit and honestly tell me if she's easy.
