When a hooked survivor is within the terror radius of the killer, then entity progression is halted.

No, ur idea is terrible because many survivors would be abusing.

How do you mean survivors would be abusing? It's not the choice of the survivors to face camp. Face camping creates a terrible experience for the survivor being targeted. Sure, the killer won't get as many blood points as they could have, but that doesn't make the experience any less terrible for the survivors. There should be a gameplay mechanic to deter such behavior. A post game penalty is hardly adequate and is of little consolation for the survivors as it creates a really bad experience for everyone but the killer.

You're not the only one to suggest this and they even tried it out, pretty sure. SWF was abusing it by looping around the hooked survivor so that the person on the hook had a longer timer (it takes pressure away if people don't have to go for it right away). BT is an anti-camping perk and you can still sneak around the killer and get them off or do a trade. Insta-heals are also a thing.

Ok, I see that point. I don't play SWF, just alone, so my perspective is different. Still, I don't think the game should require specific perks or items in order to combat a toxic play style that all killers can do regardless of perks or items.

That’s one of the reasons I like the Devour Hope perk. Killer has to run away fast or lose effectiveness. Plus the perk itself is truly horrifying.

If you’re interested, I posted a new killer idea earlier today who is designed to rarely ever be a camper. (Spoiler, he’s nowhere near the hook that the survivor ends up on.) If you think that sounds fun, you can read more on him here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/64040/new-killer-concept-the-physicist#latest

Quick solution for gen rushing: When you're outside the terror radius all generator progress is halted.

Name one perk or item you need to do gens if the killer is face camping.

Woosh. You missed the point completely. Furthermore, your argument is something I haven't even argued against, so way to straw man.

For clarity - the experience for a targeted survivor of face camping is terrible regardless. Picture this from the viewpoint of a single survivor (no SWF). You get hooked once, and then is face camped for the rest of the game. How is that any fun? And you're punished for it too. Since blood points is not rewarded on a team basis but individual basis, it doesn't really matter if your team escapes.

I've heard they've tried it in the past. What they should try now is progression is only halted when there is no one else in the same radius for the punishment for the points they implemented few patches ago. So if the survivors are in that radius everything should work normally but if it is only the killer /and his terror radius is active - should not work with Insidious or cloacked Wraith / and survivors are nowhere to be seen then progression is halted. Radius can always be a bit bigger for this effect.

Oh man, here we go again. OP do some research, you'll quickly find out why it is a bad idea.

Just finish off the gens, it can make the killer even saltire than you if they just get a 1k
