Auto-hook disconnected Survivors
Survivor disconnecting can have advantageous effects for the survivor team that can be mitigated and likely lower disconnect rate. A few examples are- disconnecting to deprive killer perks such as BBQ&Chilli/Lullaby or open hatch instantly for the last remaining survivor. This disconnecting has become all too common in my experience and should be seen as a form of griefing. I frequently see this when a survivor goes down when they are on deathhook.
I suggest a disconnected survivor's body persist and teleport onto an available basement hook and die normally on said hook. This survivor body should not be capable of being rescued by other survivors obviously. Perks and effects trigger normally as if the killer had hooked the survivor. Using a basement hook for this is required to prevent a possible advantage to survivors with the outside hooks.
The "Leave" button could be renamed to "Give up" to reflect this change as well as letting the survivor see themselves go onto hook prior to being ejected to the endgame score screen to further survivors understanding of what they're doing.
TLDR: Automatically basement hook disconnected survivors to eliminate penalty to killer.

Can we do the same then for when a Killer disconnects? All the survivors are teleported to the basement to watch the Killer go on the hook and the Entity taking them? Just wondering.

Lmao, that sounds funny af. I can imagine it now in my head where a Killer DCs in the middle of the match and the Entity just snatches the killer up and puts them on a hook while the other Survivors T-bag around the basement hook.

This isn't fair towards the killer though.
As sometimes survivors will rage quit over the tiniest of things. This would also most likely rise the DC rates as ,the survivor Disconnecting knows they are gonna hurt the killer that they got annoyed over, giving them more power by DCing.

Since when does a survivor getting hooked hurt the killer?

Okay....I've lost 2 Haddonfield Offerings and 1 Ormond offering because of disconnecting killers in the past hour alone.
If killers can pick and chose what matches they want, why can't survivors and vice versa.
I want my offerings back.

I would pay Auric Cells to see this.

I was in a game where the killer disconnected after the last gen was completed because he didn't get a single hit on a survivor the entire time. I honestly felt bad for him. lol.
Rage quits happen on both sides. Let's not talk about just one side to this. All rage quitters, whether survivor or killer, are sore losers and need to stop playing the game.

I think there should be some algorithms added to speed the game up in hopeless situations, leading to an automatic sacrifice.
If a survivor gets slugged while the remaining teammate is basement hooked, the game could determine if an escape is possible: will the hooked survivor will get the 4%, will the hatch spawn within crawling distance and has the survivor got No Mither or Unbreakable? The entity could sacrifice these survivors immedietly, rather than let them squirm and draw the game out.
The main issue, however, is survivors disconnecting early because the game isn't going the way they want. Just because they've gone on their first hook, doesn't mean the game is over - they could go on to victory. Such disconnections screw-over their teammates who are a man down, as well as denying the killer a sacrifice.
A double de-pip is not a suitable punishment for disconnecting. Some players want to de-rank so they can go against less skilled opponents. This needs to be addressed.

Survivors already get escape points/credit when a killer DC's. While I'm not opposed to a queue timeout of some sort for DCing killers(and survivors) it is already currently handled better than Survivor DCing.

And thus I have bumped the comment which has spent the longest amount of time being dead.
Funnily enough this is still an issue right now
