Proof that pip system rewards stealth more than skill.
got to rank 4 by hiding and rescuing and doing gens.. very rarely did get in chase. this is not good for both sides.. i dont like ppl hiding in bush as killer and as survivpr it was little fun initially but got boring, if I get in a chase chances of me ranking up are less compared to me staying in a bush while killer is searching every corner..
here is a screen shot of my last game i got 6k points and i piped.. #########? i never was in chase i rescued 1 guy did 30% of 1 gen and was hiding in the dark spot in freezer in meat plant as tapp.. Billy would come looking for me go right next to me and go away i would work on gen and go back to the spot if i heard him .. he was slugging and all others died on ground. I did this multiple times couldnt complete gen but he couldnt find me all the ppl on ground died.. and i finally gave my position away to end that madness..

The game itself allows for multiple play styles— so stealth is perfectly fine. The emblems thingy is kinda weird, I thought you would’ve safety pipped rather than pipped. Here’s my chart on survivor pips for details:
Iridescent:4 points
Gold:3 points
Silver: 2 points
Bronze:1 point

I shoudl have de piped.. i literally did nothing to help.. although 1 resuce other than that my team went down.. i never left my freezer spot to heal them since he was slugging.. i would just pop the gen and go back .. he would come back and go crazy looking for me.. we did that liek atleast 7-8 times :P. i was surpirzed i piped :P

Stealth play is perfectly fine just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be viable.

That poor billy...

There is nothing wrong here. You did Gens, you did a save. That’s doing your part. Just cause you weren’t Loop Master 3000 doesn’t mean you didn’t contribute.
People need to stop thinking you need to screw with the Killer in order to Ben “useful”.

i said it shouldnt be rewarded more than those who keep the killer in chase for 2 -3 gens.

First off, Stealth is a skill.
Second, good for you.
Third, I also reached Red Ranks just stealthing. It works. Just don't get caught and do things in game.
If you wanted to rank up by looping that also works, you just need to win your chases or do other stuff after you get hooked. You can't pip up on loops or stealth alone. You need to do everything, or exceptionally well in a few areas.
Both can work.
If you sneak around while near the killer the entire game you can really rack it up in the Evader category.
But I find it unbelievable that you got Gold Lightbringer just doing 30% of a generator. The Gold Altruism I can understand because that's a team Emblem, but it should be impossible to get Gold Lightbringer just doing 30% of a gen.
There is something wrong the game it must have bugged out and gave you super emblems.

I 100% believe this should be the way it is. Looping was originally an unintended mechanic, and if people just wanna run in circles all game, Nascar does make video games.
The game should definitely reward intelligent play over running in circles.

@ba_tetsuo is it a correct assumption to say you support stealth play then?
And as for @Skemooo I don't think you fully grasp how skillful being stealthy is. Especially when you stop to consider all the anti stealth perks in the game that exist vs how weak and low in variety a lot of stealth based perks are. Playing stealth isn't easy. And it's very nerve wracking since you sacrifice a lot of chase and loop potential to get ur evader medal.
Plus borderline every stealth build needs Urban Evasion, which forces you to only be able to be creative with 3 perk slots vs 4

Yea, I 100% support stealth play @PickCollins

I'm a stealth player, and I can tell you that you get points much faster by looping with the killer.

It takes forever to build your emblem playing stealth. A couple good chases get you there much faster.
