A Little Bored [Chat Improve]

Hello, this is a message originally sent to DbD Customer's Support. I'm quite new to the game so I imagine that many of the things I will say will already be known, ignored or important.

I recently bought Dead by Daylight under advice. It's fun, intriguing, but I'm afraid I'll stop playing it soon. I did a lot of online games, some tournaments, but the amount of harassing and annoying chat leads to a real dilemma, whether to play or not.

It could seems a complaint, but I only do it in the event of actual use of the product. At the bottom I will write some things that, in my opinion, could improve the situation. If you want, feel free to skip to the end.

  • Chat:

I did an unsatisfactory match for the Entity, it happens. I asked for clarifications on a mechanic, but the only thing I received was annoyance.

Not only did no one answer the question, but they continued to violate what the rules should be. I have seen players (Killers) leave the match to avoid suffering this heaviness or players to abandon immediately despite not having played badly.

Not to mention the communication that obviously takes place through third channels, while the game provides a rather restricted communication (gestures, noises, clues).

  • Bug:

Near the basement or inside I can't get the survivors out with R. More than once they got free because I wasn't able to put them down. But perhaps this is only a smallness or my mistake (a question of hitbox) simply accentuated by the frustration of the real issue.

  • Killer:

Being a killer is interesting, I also played other asymmetric titles, but certainly DbD has a special charm. However being a Killer is not always satisfactory. Is one against so many, where there is no clear disparity in strength (the killer can be duped by ninja survivors). It is obvious that the killer is the only one who can stop the game (one of his goals), but it becomes difficult to solo four players (if astute) alone. In this regard, I heard of a bug for two Killers, rather acclaimed.

As Survivor you have to escape. You have many things available, many ways to do it. Two exits, the hatch, generators, cooperation, perk and tools.

With the killer you have to sacrifice, you have only one way to really win. The killers don't seem to have much except to repeat themselves in an eternal loop. At the end of the game, will they have to choose a survivor and hope that everyone goes to save him?

It is good for me that there are phases, in which the balance of power changes, but as a killer you are not always rewarded. Indeed, almost never. Furthermore, the survivors expect you to be stupid. They lock hooks, they run around you, they make you see from a hill. Maybe follow the one on the hill, to turn around and go to the survivor on the hook: this is because you know they are going to save him, it's obvious. Defend the point, the sacrifice, your goal. You're a camper, it's not like you were in defense.

  • Suggestion:

Two options arise spontaneously.

1) Allow options to block your chat with others (before entering the game). Can be unlocked with a keyboard command like "/ active". This way you lose communication between the parties, but you can play in peace without running to close the lobby.

2) Make "Unclassified Matches", where people try the characters and play for the sake of it, not to humiliate others.

I need to be able to trust a company called Behavior. I hope with the servers to be able to play more peacefully.

Post Scriptum: I made a lot of toxic games [the names are deleted to respect the Forum and the staff who are hosting us] and I usually play several hours in a row. I don't consider myself a Pro or a total Noob. The thing that weighs me down is the consistency with which the flame takes place. Also leading to behaviors such as quitting even in a bad way that is not only the Rage quit, but also Annoy/Fear quit. Don't get me wrong I like competitive games, if they are such in context.

Hoping not to have afflicted or bored, I thank you for your kind attention. Thank you if you were one of the few who wanted to teach something to me or to others.

A friendly customer.
