Sole survivor

I have a big question, im always wondering whats the purpose of "Sole survivor". I mean, is it actually good for something? Maybe combined with other perks can be useful or not? Lemme know if u have any idea about how to use the perk, cause i find it totally useless. Thanks <3

    It was definitely intended to be used in combination with Object of Obsession, both of them being Laurie Strode perks. It also predated Barbecue and Chili, so the biggest aura-reading concerns at those times were Nurse's Calling and the Wraith's and Shape's add-ons.

    So this is only a situational perk... Im trying to figure out if it would be good in some other cases, but thx for answering <3
