Killer Disconnecting

Why do I de pip when the killer disconnects, how is this in anyway fair. In two different games now the killer has disconnected because he couldn't kill any of us and in the match scoreboard, it shows I have gone down a pip each time and it also shows on my survivor rank that I have de pip. I feel the disconnect system needs to be rework because if this keeps happening what is the point of even playing.

    It's supposed to be a visual bug.

    well wasn't for me I actually d pip just got to 11 then got those games where the killer disconnected and lost them now back down to 12 working my way back to 11. I have exited the game and reopen it and it still says i lost them and i am now currently working towards getting them back

    Yup you de-pip when killer DC's. Will they fix it? Probably not.
