Dance with Me should have the same cooldown of Quick & Quiet
Dance with Me is commonly considered trash: I've played thousands of games and seen it five times, and I'm generous. Not only it offers an often insignificant help, if not combined with Quick & Quiet, because it is too dependent on the shape of the map (in Lampkin Lane it helps much more than in Rotten Fields), but its cooldown is seriously excessive: 40 seconds are good for Sprint Burst, which allows you to safely reach a good loop, but for Dance with Me it is definitely senseless.
I propose to give the various tiers of Dance with Me the same cooldown as the corresponding Quick & Quiet's tiers, so that they can be effectively combined.

Lower CD, or 2 more seconds of active time would be great. There really is not enough well designed maps for mind games to encourage the perk to be significant with 3s. With 3s of use and 40s CD it also relies on combos and cannot stand on it's own IMO.
Also for Quality of Life just as Make Your Choice and Blood Warden got, I'd like to know via HUD how long it's active for when using it.

I want that too for a long time

That's a great suggestion. It'd be nice if Windows of Opportunity got the same treatment.

ehh.
that perk is situative af
but combined with lithe, its pretty good

I actually prefer it with Lithe. It lets me get to something to hide behind,a nd the killer usualy thinks im still at the loop i just left.

Try using it with Head On. If it actually works it can be so satisfying

The perk can already get you out of a chase if combined with Lithe. Would make playing killer a nightmare if Dance With Me activated multiple times in a chase.

@PolarBear A cooldown of 40 seconds is justified for Exhaustion perks, which give you powerful sprints to break a chase. A perk which simply hides some info is much less powerful and deserves a smaller cooldown, or no one (think about Iron Will, that permanently hides your grunts of pain when injured). If you leave that cooldown, Dance with Me will be forgotten forever: not worthy of a perk slot.

@Entità Scratch marks is pretty valuable information for the killer though. On certain maps you can get some pretty good distance just by hiding your scratch marks for 3 seconds. Now combined with Lithe you can almost guarantee escaping from any chase if you can find a suitable window for it.

@invira_zero @SmokePotion @Milo @PolarBear The Dance with Me + Lithe combination would not be affected by the cooldown changes of Dance with Me, because Lithe does not recharge during the chase: the pair works for the first jump of the chase, after which Lithe will not work for the whole chase time, regardless of whether the cooldown of Dance with Me is 20, 30 or 40 seconds.
Instead, in the combination Dance with Me + Quick & Quiet the cooldown of Dance with Me is decisive, because it is greater. One hides the scratches, the other hides the noise: it's a small thing to spend two perk slots (imagine you're in Shelton Woods or Rotten Fields ...), but stealth lovers might find it interesting. I honestly don't understand the opposition to the buff of weak perks: I'm not proposing to reinforce Adrenaline. If these perks remain junk, there is no hope that anyone will be tempted to abandon the META, and the perks that give a second chance.

I wasn't talkink about Lithe + DWM combo ;-;
As for the buff increasing the duration would've been 100% better than cooldown balance wise imo
