New Survivors/Killers Ideas
Hey guys!
First I'd like to say how much I enjoy playing the game. It was the first game my fiance showed me when we first started going out (I had only played a few other video games here and there before meeting him) and we continue to play separately and together. I even bought my own PS4 to have in our room while my fiance has his in his office so we can play online together. We've met great friends on the Facebook community and even had a consistent Survive with Friends team that we played with for months and continue to talk with.
With all that being said, I have some ideas to pitch you. My fiance and I are in film and we are avid creatives. We actually plan on making a Dead by Daylight fan film this summer. We were talking about potential pop culture killers in the future for the game and just for fun I started making up my own. I get the idea that you guys are a pretty open group and love the community you've created surrounding the game. I don't know if my ideas would interest you but I thought I'd put them out there.
KILLER: The Fake
The Fake's backstory is even a mystery to the entity. Going through life with stolen identity after stolen identity as an adult, he'd never stay in one place for more than a few weeks. Abandoned at a young age, he jumped from city to city trying to find a family to blend into, but as a troubled child with no foundation, he found himself instead having to play pretend as he saw families in playgrounds laughing together. He went through life never really knowing who he was, only making up ideas of who he wanted to be. After years of rejection and solitude, human interaction became human imitation and any base of personality became lost as he went through life with more questions than answers.
His map is a large playground to represent the childhood that he so wanted but could never get.
The Fake is just an aura of smoke that looks similar to the souls of the survivors after the entity takes them. In the lobby, the Fake picks two survivors to imitate. During the game, Fake is seen as one of the selected survivors until one of the real survivors gets within the terror radius and Fake turns into a dark aura with a knife. Fake can only act as a survivor for 1 min tier (much like Myer's tier system). Must tier up by "stalking" a survivor for ten seconds. Tier resets every 20 seconds. If a survivor is unhooked or unhooks themselves, tier resets. There would also be a music cue for when Fake is about to attack (like Pig before she attacks) while in survivor skin to give survivors time to react.
Perks:
Munchhausen: Pretend being hurt to draw survivors to heal for allotted time as perks level up. If no survivor comes to aid helps during the time of the perk, tier resets and can only use after 20 second cool down (like Legion after going feral).
Something to Offer: Has a fake tool/med kit to give off more of a vibe that they're a real survivor.
F in Mechanics: Can work on a gen with only one or more survivors but gen will decrease in progress.
SURVIVOR: Kyleen
Fortune teller from a traveling gypsy troupe. She has an eye for the misunderstood and can sooth bad spirits back to their realm. Her family and friends warn that her kind heart will get her in trouble some day because she's so eager to help. She was on the road with her troupe when she wandered off at the sound of a crying child and was kidnapped into the Dead by Daylight realm.
Perks:
Third Eye: alerted sound/visual when killer is allotted meters away as perk levels up (like Small Game but shared among other survivors)
Heal with Kindness: Immediate switch health status with an injured/dying survivor but shorted allotted time healing yourself as perk levels up.
Crystal Light: Generators are highlighted within allotted meters as perk levels up
Fortune Be Yours: If downed and picked by the killer, the two closest hooks automatically become sabotaged.
KILLER: The Pyro
Phee always had a love fire and explosions. Darkness wasn't something that she liked to be around but ironically her fascination with light would bring the darkest times to her life. A pyro-technician for film, she showed off her skills on movie sets and became one of the industry's go-to's for special effects with explosions. One day, she miscalculated a stunt and the set caught fire and the actor involved died. She was fired and blacklisted, sinking her into a depression that led her obsession with controlling fire to the greatest of human ability. Her need to control the uncontrollable led her to attempt to create and put out a forest fire, but her aspiration clouded her judgement and trapped her within the entity's grasp.
Her map is an abandoned film studio where Phee's life changed forever.
Perks:
Independence Day: shoot fire ball at survivors to injure them (like the Plague but instead of vomit it's fire).
Miscalculation: After breaking a generator, the generator will catch fire and be inaccessible for an allotted amount of time as perk levels up. Only one generator can be in this state at a time every 30 seconds.
Forest Fire: set fire to surrounding diameter for allotted meters as perk levels up to incapacitate survivors (like Doctor with electric current. Survivors "extinguish" themselves rather than "snap out of it")
SURVIVOR: Pete
A filmmaker by trade, Pete spent the majority of this days behind the camera. Directing was his passion and he sacrificed many of the typical joys of life growing up for his dream. His talent brought him all over the world and enabled him to explore new stories and meet new people. One day, he decided to explore an unknown terrain for a potential film idea and got lost. Armed with just his camera, he'd have to find his way out of the horror story he stumbled into.
Perks:
Pulling Focus: When activated, one can not only be shown where an active totem is but show it's aura for an allotted amount of time as perk levels up.
The Martini: Once spawned, the hatch's aura will be visible for an allotted amount of time per perk level up.
Split Diopter: after being chased for an allotted amount of seconds per perk level up, you can "teleport" from one side of map to other with killer in the background. Can only be used once per match.
Quiet on Set: Leave no scratch marks while running for an allotted amount of time per perk level up.
Let me know what you think! The two survivors are actually loosely based off of me and my fiance.
Thanks in advance for the input!

It's so sad that you shared your thoughts by typing out long paragraphs for people to simply ignore this, or skim over it without saying a word. Your ideas are pretty good though.

Thank you Yes! I appreciate the feedback! It's okay if people just want to ignore or skim over, I just wanted to get the ideas out there.
