Hatch closing and endgame

Its almost impossible to escape when the killer finds and closes the hatch unless the gates spawn far from each other. And even then it may prove difficult because of the fact you are on a death timer. I think it would be much better if endgame did not trigger till at least one gate has been opened. And make the timer shorter to compensate. I would say about 2 or 1 and a half mins. because the killer could also go and open a gate and still have a chance to get the survivor WHILE ALSO offering the survivor a real chance to escape. Tell me what y'all think and keep it civil please.
