fix the hitbox before making loops smaller
I don't give a ######### if anyone calls me a salty survivor main here (which i'm not because i play both sides equally) but get your ######### sorted out with the hitboxes because survivor will be unplayable since people will get hit trough pallets 99% of the time at those unsafe loops (I'm assuming they are removing all large loops)

It's not hitboxes it's latency. It'll be worked out with dedicated servers. Calm yourself.

Once dedicated servers release, the hitbox situation should resolve itself. They’ve also stated that they’re looking into everything relating to hitboxes for this as well, if I am not mistaken. Just be calm and wait to see what’s in store. :)

It's hitboxes too. Not just latency, people have done research

Some people maybe, but definitely to you!
They stated multiple times that they need the dedicated servers to eradicate the latency to adjust the hitboxes.
It makes absolutely no sense to fiddle now with the hitboxes to be screwed over in 3 month and have to do it all again.

This was confirmed one of the top 3 fixes coming with dedicated servers.

No, it's lag compensations and hitregistration.
Not hitboxes, do better research.

Do you mean killer's hit boxes when you collide with any object during loop?

Drop the pallet earlier then

I tested the dedicated servers..
AND IT WAS WORSE!
I know they were in a really early stage, but it looks like, if the killer is laggy the hitbox is going to be worse..
Just check the No0b3 vid..

This is 99% survivor greed and entitlement and only 1% latency. I've yet to ever get hit through a pallet because I don't loop on the side of greed and then complain about the obvious consequences of that. I drop the pallet as soon as it becomes dangerous and have never had a problem because of it.
I constantly listen to survivors complain in post chat about hitboxes when they try to loop the same area 5 times and I use it to my advantage to time a hit on the run they can't make. I very rarely see hits connect that actually surprise me though it definitely does happen on occasion.
But if you're the kind of survivor that stalls at a pallet greedy for the stun and then runs off thinking you can get another loop in cause I refuse to take a pallet stun, don't be surprised when there's not enough distance between us for you to make another loop. It's not a hitbox problem, it's an entitlement problem.

Getting hit through pallets wont go away with dedicated servers, or better hitboxes. Why? Because the stun doesnt occur at the beginning of the animation. When you press to drop the pallet, the survivor is sucked into position, turns around and drops the pallet on the killer. The stun is applied when the pallet visually hits the killer. While you are stuck in the animation, the killer can still lunge at you.

Basically this. Almost all these people that complain about survivor hitboxes are misunderstanding what is actually happening. It's a latency issue, not hitboxes.

For real. People act like there aren't 6900 pallets on 90% of the maps. You can straight up camp and drop pallets on most maps and be fine if teammates are actually doing gens.

@No_Cluie_Louis Do you have any sources to back up your claim?

And waste the pallet?No.

The problem is that survivors don't do generators in P. matches (Not saying all, but there is a pretty good portion of them EVEN at red ranks) and looping and abusing T walls is the only thing left against an experienced killer.

Just drop the pallet.
Its like just kick the pallet but for survivors :)

How is it a waste if it prevents you from being hit?
1 -
Agreed. Although they've said they have been looking at hitboxes, I don't believe the problem will go away after dedicated servers are applied.

I only queue solo when I play survivor. Believe me, I get it. But that's not a hitbox problem or a problem with pallet inefficiency. That's a generator efficiency problem. You will never run out of pallets on a map if your teammates are being efficient with generators. It's on them.

I cant remember who made the videos i watched, i just remember people testing in KYF lobby with low ping. Yes it is mostly due to ping, but it;s also due to the fact that all killers have different weapons, yet the hitboxes don't match the weapons perfectly always, resulting in very odd hits / misses

On a serious note: Those weird hits are always caused by connections rather than hitboxes. Hopefully the dedicated servers will be any good so we can all experience proper games. As a killer I want to get legit hits. It kinda feels cheated to get a lame down through vaults and pallets all the time.

The Devs have gone out themselves and said that it isn't hitboxes. Because DBD in it's current state works with a peer to peer connection and not dedicated servers, there's the issue that desync can take place, where you see yourself in one place, but the killer will see you in another.
In a very basic way to put it, you see yourself further than the killer will see you, the game won't update where you were on the killer's screen and to them, it'll seem like a normal hit. It doesn't even matter if they have good ping, desync can still occur.
